Single-Particle Self-Excited Oscillator [PDF]
Electronic feedback is used to self-excite the axial oscillation of a single electron in a Penning trap. Large, stable, easily detected oscillations arise even in an anharmonic potential. Amplitudes are controlled by adjusting the feedback gain, and frequencies can be made nearly independent of amplitude fluctuations.

Side force control on slender body by self-excited oscillation flag
Strong asymmetrical vortices appear on the leeward of slender body at high angles of attack, which has very unfavorable effect on the stability and control of the aircraft. A method is developed to control the side force of slender body at high angles of

Self- excited oscillation under the influence of non - linear frictions
In this article the influence of friction R1, R2 on Van der Pol oscillator is considered. It turned out that the mentioned frictions decrease the amplitude of self – excited oscillations and they stabilize the equilibrium position of the self – excited ...

Numerical Analysis of Oscillation Death in Coupled Self-Excited Elastic Beams
The emergence of the oscillation death phenomenon in a ring of four coupled self-excited elastic beams is numerically explored in this work. The beams are mathematically represented through partial differential equations which are solved by means of the ...

Self-excited mono-ion oscillator [PDF]
We propose self-excitation as a potentially more sensitive technique for studying a mono-ion oscillator of frequency v z ≈ 0.1-100 MHz. This technique also makes only low demands on the harmonicity of the ion oscillation.
