Natural Dual‐Crosslinked Self‐Healing Hydrogels for In Situ Wound Healing
Poly(l‐glutamic acid) (PLGA), a polypeptide prepared by bacteria fermentation, has broad applications in tissue engineering. A natural host–guest pair of β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD) and bile acid molecules are attached covalently onto the PLGA backbones ...

Manufacturing challenges in self-healing technology for polymer composites — a review
Self-healing polymer materials have the functional characteristics of curing when a crack penetrates the material. Damage response, healing ability and healing performance are the most important healing characteristics of a self-healing material.

DEX: Self-Healing Expanders [PDF]
We present a fully-distributed self-healing algorithm DEX, that maintains a constant degree expander network in a dynamic setting. To the best of our knowledge, our algorithm provides the first efficient distributed construction of expanders --- whose expansion properties hold {\em deterministically} --- that works even under an all-powerful adaptive ...

Self-Healing of Hierarchical Materials [PDF]
We present a theoretical and numerical analysis of the mechanical behavior of self-healing materials using an analytical model and numerical calculations both based on a Hierarchical Fiber Bundle Model, and applying them to graphene- or carbon-nanotube-based materials.

The time-dependency of the healing behavior of laser-scratched polymer films
The scratch healing behavior of different polymers based on reversible interactions was investigated. For this purpose, scratches were induced via femtosecond laser ablation and were analyzed using laser-scanning microscopy.

Analysis of the Self-Healing Process of Asphalt and its Influencing Factors
Molecular dynamics was used in this study to understand the self-healing behavior and mechanism of asphalt. Density, solubility, and mean square displacement parameters were analyzed to confirm the validity of the matrix asphalt model.
