Carbon‐free inert anodes are essential for decarbonizing aluminum electrolysis. This study investigates a recyclate‐based MgO‐316L steel composite anode tested under galvanostatic Hall–Héroult conditions in cryolite at 1000°C. Microstructural analysis reveals selective MgO fluorination, spinel and oxide layer formation, electrolyte infiltration, and ...

High magnification self-imaging
Applied Optics, 1982Strongly magnified images of a periodic object can be obtained by using the Talbot effect. Two particular advantages are simplicity and compactness of the setup even for a high magnification ratio. First we recall the principle of self-imaging and the basic results derived by Rayleigh.

Electromagnetically induced self-imaging
Optics Letters, 2007We study the self-imaging and image-transforming properties of a probe field in a cold atomic medium with electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT). Due to the similarities between the gradient-index medium and the inhomogeneous index distribution of an EIT medium under the conditions of a negative probe detuning and a Gaussian control field, we ...

Psychological Reports, 1976
163 female graduate nurses described themselves using Gough and Heilbrun's Adjective Check List. The nurses scored higher on Dominance, Self-control, Achievement, Order, Self-confidence, Counseling, Readiness and Nurturance, among other variables and lower on Succorance, Change, Abasement, Lability and Number of Unfavorable Items Checked than the ...

Differentiation of Adolescent Self-Images
Archives of General Psychiatry, 1973Multiple self-images held by 58 adolescents were studied using a specially developed Q-sort technique. A perceptual-cognitive process, psychological differentiation, was also followed. Results suggest that "realms" of self-image are selectively influenced by psychopathology, age, and sex.
