Maximum Likelihood Self-Interference Cancellation

2017
In this chapter, we propose a maximum likelihood (ML) approach to jointly estimate the self-interference and the intended channels. We perfectly exploit the known transmitted symbols from its own transceiver and both the known pilot and unknown data symbols from the other intended transceiver.

Filter Design for Self-Interference Cancellation

2020
Mitigation of self-interference is the prime challenge in making full-duplex technology feasible in wireless communications. In this chapter, we first present system model of a wireless communication link including a source, full-duplex transceiver, and destination, and discuss different approaches and assumptions when building the signal model.

Influence of Full-Duplex Self-Interference Channel Measurement on Self-Interference Cancellation Capacity

2018 8th International Conference on Electronics Information and Emergency Communication (ICEIEC), 2018
In full-duplex system, the key research of analog self-interference cancellation are self-interference channel and reconstruction circuit for self-interference suppression. In this paper, we measure the self-interference channel using the vector-based channel response measurement method, and analyze the effects of tap delay, tap interval, tap number ...

Limiting Factors in Self-Interference Cancellation

2017
Various experimental results have stated that the self-interference (SI) in full-duplex communication can be mitigated to properly detect the intended signal. However, relatively little is known about the cancellation limits of these systems. A good SI-cancellation strategy passes first by a proper understanding of the nature of this SI. This is highly

Wireless packet collision detection using self-interference canceller

2013 Asia-Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association Annual Summit and Conference, 2013
The paper considers wireless collision detection at the transmitter for wireless local area network systems. One of the major challenges to achieve such collision detection is the self-interference of very high power, which decrease the effective quantization level for the collision packet to be detected.

Widely-Linear Subspace-Based Self-Interference-Cancellation

2017
This chapter addresses the self-interference (SI) cancellation at baseband for full-duplex MIMO communications systems in consideration of practical transmitter imperfections. In particular, we develop a subspace-based algorithm to jointly estimate the SI and intended channels and the nonlinear distortions.

Integrated Microwave Photonic Circuit for Self-Interference Cancellation

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2017
We present the first experimental demonstration of an integrated microwave photonic circuit for active, analog self-interference cancellation. The circuit is unique in its ability to operate in any radio frequency (RF) band from 400 MHz up to 6 GHz while not requiring any optical inputs or outputs.

Active Signal Injection for Self-Interference-Cancellation

2017
A common problem in full-duplex operation is the existence of a large self-interference (SI) at the receiver input, which prevents the proper detection of the intended signal. This chapter presents a new active signal injection (ASI) approach for full-duplex multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) OFDM systems to reduce the SI prior to the receiver low ...

Self-Interference Cancellation in SISO Full-Duplex System

2020 IEEE 7th Uttar Pradesh Section International Conference on Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering (UPCON), 2020
In this paper, we propose a single-input single-output (SISO) full-duplex system model to remove self-interference from the received signal. A pilot symbol-based technique is used for channel estimation. The self-interference signal in the implemented transceiver system interferes with an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modulated ...

Self-Interference-Cancellation in Full-Duplex Systems

2017
This chapter provides a brief overview of several important concepts related to SI-cancellation techniques to form a solid background for the following chapters. We first discuss the nature of the self-interference (SI) channel which leads to the use of the analog RF cancellation stage and the digital cancellation stage.
