Numerical Simulation of the Hydrodynamic Performance and Self-Propulsion of a UUV near the Seabed
Unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV) face maneuverability and rapidity challenges when they are applied for detecting and repairing submarine oil and gas pipelines, and fiber cables near the seabed.

Anisotropic particles near surfaces: Self-propulsion and friction
We theoretically study the phenomenon of self-propulsion through Casimir forces in thermal non-equilibrium. Using fluctuational electrodynamics, we derive a formula for the self-propulsion force for an arbitrary small object in two scenarios, i) for the ...

Enhanced diffusion and ordering of self-propelled rods [PDF]
Starting from a minimal physical model of self propelled hard rods on a substrate in two dimensions, we derive a modified Smoluchowski equation for the system.

This paper presents a novel approach to reducing oxide layers on metal powders using low‐temperature hydrogen dielectric barrier discharge plasmas at atmospheric pressure. Unlike conventional hydrogen‐plasma reductions, the powders do not contact the plasma directly.

Photoswitching Conduction in Framework Materials
This mini‐review summarizes recent advances in state‐of‐the‐art proton and electron conduction in framework materials that can be remotely and reversibly switched on and off by light. It discusses the various photoswitching conduction mechanisms and the strategies employed to enhance photoswitched conductivity.

Mode-Coupling Theory for Active Brownian Particles
We present a mode-coupling theory (MCT) for the high-density dynamics of two-dimensional spherical active Brownian particles (ABP). The theory is based on the integration-through-transients (ITT) formalism and hence provides a starting point for the ...

3D‐Printed Sulfur‐Derived Polymers With Controlled Architectures for Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries
Rheology‐guided formulation design for direct ink writing enables the fabrication of 3D sulfur copolymer cathodes with controlled architectures for lithium‐sulfur batteries. The printed electrodes exhibit multiscale porosity and high sulfur utilization, delivering enhanced electrochemical performance compared to conventional cast electrodes.
