Beyond Self-Tracking and Reminders
Proceedings of the 33rd Annual ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, 2015Habit formation is an important part of behavior change interventions: to ensure an intervention has long-term effects, the new behavior has to turn into a habit and become automatic. Smartphone apps could help with this process by supporting habit formation.

Self-Tracking Concentrator for Photovoltaics
CLEO: 2015, 2015We present a novel solar concentrator architecture in which integrated microscale liquid optics provide passive solar tracking, eliminating the need for high-precision mechanical tracking. Optical efficiency as high as 72% and effective acceptance angle of 50° are demonstrated.

Self-tracking optical beam monitor
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1992A new optical beam monitor with a self-tracking system was constructed and tested at an undulator beam line of the Photon Factory. The monitor has a feedback system to receive a constant part of the radiation and gives a large range of linearity. The beam position is read out through a linear encoder to detect the self-tracking movement of a pair of ...

Self-tracking Solar Concentration
2015Solar concentration is intended to decrease the cost of expensive solar cell material by replacing the solar cell with a focusing optical system as the initial receiving aperture. This reduces the amount of solar cell material needed but adds the need of tracking to the entire system in order to keep the smaller solar cell at the focal spot.

Engagement issues in self-tracking
2017 IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Computing and Communications Workshops (PerCom Workshops), 2017This paper recognizes the relevance of self-tracking as a growing trend within the general public. As this develops further, pervasive computing has an opportunity to embrace user-feedback from this broader user group than the previously emphasized ‘quantified self:ers’.
