Who Does Bogotá “Care” for? Care Blocks, Care Workers and the Sustainable Development Goals

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper critically examines Bogotá's District Care System within the framework of urban social sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Focusing on the Care Blocks (Manzanas del Cuidado), it employs a mixed‐methods approach—legal analysis, interviews, testimonies, surveys, and InfoCuidado data—to explore the paradox of a

Evaluation and Comparison of Analytical Models to Determine the Bond Characteristics of Steel Fibre Reinforced Self-Compacting Concrete [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Steel fibre reinforced self-compacting concrete (SFRSCC) can be placed and compacted under its self weight with little or no mechanical vibration. It is at the same time cohesive enough to be casted without segregation or bleeding.

Ultra‐Fast Isothermal Formation of DNA Nanostructures in Culture Media: Application to In Situ Assembly of DNA Origami With Living Cells

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
We demonstrate for the first time that DNA nanostructures self‐assemble in situ at 37°C within minutes, directly in cell culture media and in the presence of living cells. The approach enables the formation of 2D and 3D DNA origami structures with human cell lines and induced pluripotent stem cells evolving into cerebral organoids.
