Philadelphia have been named as Alaşehir after the occupation of SultanSüleymanşah (1079-1080) of Anatolian Seljukids. Thes over eignty lasted about25 years. Alaşehir had been ruled by Byzantium after the First Crusade(1096-1099) caused a weakness in Seljukid state.
