Constructing semantic ontologies for business analytics

Proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies and Workshop for PhD Students in Computing on International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies, 2010
Business analytics (BA) involves defining organization's capabilities and requirements in order to understand how it functions to accomplish its purposes. BA is typically performed to define and validate solutions that are designed to meet organization's business needs, goals or objectives.

Visual Analytics and Visual Semantics

2011
Visual languages are frequently used in wide ranging application areas. In computing particularly, visual languages often play a central role such as in the design of software artefacts, conveying models of computation, or in providing an understanding of systems in general. This special issue demonstrates just some of the vast array of research topics

Analytic Tableaux for Non-deterministic Semantics

2021
Analytic tableau systems for the family of non-deterministic semantics are introduced. These are based on tableaux for many-valued logics using sets-as-signs DNF representations. Karnaugh maps illustrate the construction of tableau rules. In contrast to classical many-valued tableaux, we add a rule called sign intersection.

Applied Semantics for Integration and Analytics

2013
There are two major trends of industrial application for semantic technologies: integration and analytics. The integration potential of semantics was the first one which came to industrial implementation, particularly due to adoption of semantic platform by ISO 15926 standard.

Analytic Sentences in the Semantic System

1977
One might look for connections between the notion of analyticity and the problems of semantics or—in broader terms — semiotics in the definition of analytic judgements deriving from Kant, which, as it is known, involves the inclusion of the meaning of the predicate in the meaning of the subject.

From Semantic Games to Analytic Calculi

Games offer a natural and fruitful approach to logic, bridging the traditional semantic and proof-theoretic approach to logic. The present thesis aims to illustrate this connection by investigating a technique of lifting semantic games to provability games and further to analytic calculi.
