Semantic Annotation of Experimental Methods in Analytical Chemistry

open access: yesAnalytical Chemistry, 2022
A major obstacle for reusing and integrating existing data is finding the data that is most relevant in a given context. The primary metadata resource is the scientific literature describing the experiments that produced the data. To stimulate the development of natural language processing methods for extracting this information from articles, we have ...

SemTab 2019: Resources to Benchmark Tabular Data to Knowledge Graph Matching Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Tabular data to Knowledge Graph matching is the process of assigning semantic tags from knowledge graphs (e.g., Wikidata or DBpedia) to the elements of a table. This task is a challenging problem for various reasons, including the lack of metadata (e.g.,

Architecture and prototypical implementation of a semantic querying system for big Earth observation image bases

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Remote Sensing, 2017
Spatiotemporal analytics of multi-source Earth observation (EO) big data is a pre-condition for semantic content-based image retrieval (SCBIR). As a proof of concept, an innovative EO semantic querying (EO-SQ) subsystem was designed and prototypically ...
