Direct Reported Speech in Multilingual Texts: Automatic Annotation and Semantic Categorization

open access: yes, 2010
International audienceWe propose an application for the automatic identification and categorization of quotations. The categorization is based on a semantic map of enunciative modalities.

MAPA: A Semantic Network Framework for Functional Module Discovery and Interpretation in Multi‐Omics Data

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MAPA transforms complex multi‐omics data into biologically coherent functional modules by integrating pathway information with molecular interaction networks. Retrieval‐augmented large language models then generate structured, literature‐informed interpretations.

DeepLNM: A Multimodal Model for Predicting Lymph Node Metastasis in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Traditional diagnosis may miss positive LNM cases, and pathologists face a workload; therefore, we develop DeepLNM, a multimodal model that predicts lymph node metastasis in colorectal cancer from H&E WSIs, CT images, and text. DeepLNM is robust across internal, external, and prospective cohorts and, in a user study, improves diagnostic accuracy while ...

A Facial Foundation Model for Clinical Biomarker Prediction and Real‐World Mobile Deployment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MedicalFaceFound is a facial foundation model developed through three‐stage progressive pre‐training, adapting representations from general vision to facial structure and clinical phenotypes. Using a single facial image, it estimates 62 biomarkers across multiple physiological systems and supports downstream risk prediction for cardiovascular ...

Disentangling Heterogeneous Molecular Networks for Multi‐Omics‐Driven Cancer Driver Discovery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
DRIVE integrates PPI topology and pan‐cancer multi‐omics profiles through dual‐view graph disentanglement, contrastive representation learning, and joint optimization. Across six PPI networks, DRIVE outperforms ten baselines and remains robust to structural and annotation perturbations.

Mixed Emotion and Its Functional and Semantic Potential (Exemplified with the Word Dislike)

open access: yesRussian journal of linguistics: Vestnik RUDN, 2015
The article touches upon the problem of language categorization of mixed emotions from the perspective of functional and semantic aspects. Using the word dislike as an example the author shows how the reflection process of polyvalency in any emotional ...

On the categorical semantics of Elementary Linear Logic

open access: yesTheory and Applications of Categories, 2009
We introduce the notion of elementary Seely category as a notion of categorical model of Elementary Linear Logic (ELL) inspired from Seely's definition of models of Linear Logic (LL). In order to deal with additive connectives in ELL, we use the approach of Danos and Joinet.

Categorization and correlation in a random-matching game [PDF]

open access: yes
We consider a random-matching model in which every agent has a categorization (partition) of his potential opponents. In equilibrium, the strategy of each player is a best response to the distribution of actions of his opponents in each category of his ...

DUET‐seq: An Open‐Source Droplet Platform for High‐Fidelity Joint Chromatin and Transcriptome Profiling Reveals Temporal Regulatory Decoupling in Single Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
DUET‐seq is an open‐source droplet platform that jointly profiles chromatin accessibility and gene expression from the same nucleus. Dissolvable dual‐linker hydrogel beads and a one‐step intra‐droplet RT‐PCR co‐index both modalities in under 12 h at roughly $0.04 per cell.

qcGEM: A Graph‐Based Molecular Representation With Quantum Chemistry Awareness

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, we introduce qcGEM, a quantum‐chemistry‐aware graph‐based embedding of molecules that incorporates physical priors into molecular representation learning. Through a specially designed model architecture to adequately process quantum chemistry information as well as three‐dimensional molecular geometry, qcGEM provides a compact, physics ...
