Reading Your Mind While You Are Reading—Evidence for Spontaneous Visuospatial Perspective Taking During a Semantic Categorization Task

open access: yesPsychological Science, 2018
Recent studies have demonstrated people’s propensity to adopt others’ visuospatial perspectives (VSPs) in a shared physical context. The present study investigated whether spontaneous VSP taking occurs in mental space where another person’s perspective matters for mental activities rather than physical actions.

A Machine Vision‐Guided Microphysiological Platform With Automated Microfluidics Enables Longitudinal Biomarker Monitoring and Emulation of Translationally Relevant Exposure Scenarios

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A pneumatically actuated multi‐tissue microphysiological system is integrated with AI‐based machine vision and automatic sampling and replenishment systems. The platform allows for the emulation of translationally relevant long‐term pharmacokinetic exposure scenarios for multiple weeks while enabling longitudinal monitoring of response biomarkers ...

Lexical-semantic knowledge about food in patients with different types of dementia

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2014
While many theories agree that the conceptual knowledge is organized in categories, there is less agreement on the underlying organizational principle (e.g. Warrington & Shallice, 1984, Caramazza & Shelton, 1998; Capitani et al., 2003).

Strategy of Triple‐Gradient in Binary Pixels for Flexible Pressure Sensing with High Sensitivity and Wide‐Range Linearity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flexible pressure sensor with triple‐gradient design of conductivity, modulus, and dimension in binary micro‐dome pixels is proposed. Based on precisely‐designed CNT/PDMS matrix, the device exhibits a linear sensitivity of 974.1 kPa−1 across range up to 1.8 MPa (R2 > 0.99), offering an effective strategy for potential applications in healthcare ...

SemanticST: A Scalable Multi‐Contextual Graph Learning Framework for Uncovering Spatial Niches and Robust Multi‐Sample Integration in Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Technical limitations often let dominant signals overshadow rare cell types and fine‐grained heterogeneity in spatial transcriptomics. SemanticST, a graph neural network using multi‐semantic graph fusion and a novel min‐cut loss, recovers these subtle patterns.

Effects of Competition on Left Prefrontal and Temporal Cortex During Conceptual Comparison of Brand-Name Product Pictures: Analysis of fNIRS Using Tensor Decomposition

open access: yesBrain Sciences
Background/Objectives: Recent theories of the neurocognitive architecture of semantic memory have included a distinction between semantic control in the left inferior frontal gyrus (LIFG) and semantic representation in the left anterior temporal lobe ...

Very Short Texts Hierarchical Classification Combining Semantic Interpretation and DeBERTa [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji kexue
Text hierarchy classification has important applications in scenarios such as social comment topic classification and search term classification. The data in these scenarios often exhibits short text features, which is reflected in the sparsity and ...

Deep Learning‐Driven Discovery and Engineering of an Efficient PETase for Depolymerization and Detoxification of PET Microplastics Under Physiological Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A deep learning–driven pipeline mining 246 million protein sequences uncovers AhPETase, an evolutionarily distinct PET hydrolase. Engineered variant AhPETaseM1 degrades post‐consumer PET microplastics under physiological conditions and reverses microplasticinduced cytotoxicity in human lung and colon cells, establishing enzymatic microplastic ...

A Site‐Aware Representation Learning Framework For Unified Molecular Interaction Modeling and Generative Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MolDBG is a site‐aware, sequence‐only framework that unifies drug‐target affinity prediction, binding‐site identification, and affinity‐conditioned molecular generation for structured proteins. Guided by multi‐task binding‐site supervision, it aligns interaction‐critical residues before learning drug‐target representations and simultaneously infers ...

The transparency and position of semantic radicals modulate semantic activation in Chinese phonogram recognition: An ERP study

open access: yesActa Psychologica
Chinese phonograms contain phonetic and semantic radicals, with semantic radicals being related to Chinese characters' lexical meanings. Prior studies have examined the critical role of positional and functional semantic radicals at the sub-lexical level,
