Semantic Features with Contextual Knowledge-Based Web Page Categorization Using the GloVe Model and Stacked BiLSTM

open access: yes, 2021
Internet technologies are emerging very fast nowadays, due to which web pages are generated exponentially. Web page categorization is required for searching and exploring relevant web pages based on users’ queries and is a tedious task.

Target Categorization with Primes that Vary in Both Congruency and Sense Modality

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2015
In two experiments we examined conceptual priming within and across sense modalities by varying the modality (picture and environmental sounds) and the category congruency of prime-target pairs.

Grounding Large Language Models for Robot Task Planning Using Closed‐Loop State Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
BrainBody‐Large Language Model (LLM) introduces a hierarchical, feedback‐driven planning framework where two LLMs coordinate high‐level reasoning and low‐level control for robotic tasks. By grounding decisions in real‐time state feedback, it reduces hallucinations and improves task reliability.

The activation of semantic memory: Effects of prime exposure, prime-target relationship, and task demands [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
International audiencePriming facilitation was examined under conditions of brief incremental prime exposures (28, 43, 71, and 199 msec) under masked conditions for two types of lexical relationships (associative-semantic pairs, such as "wolf-fox," and ...

The Role of Semantics in Spanish Word Recognition: an Insight from Lexical Decision and Categorization Tasks

open access: yesOpen Linguistics, 2017
AbstractThis study examines the factors affecting word recognition in a language with a consistent system to map letters into sounds; Spanish. The influence of semantics on the recognition of words in languages with inconsistent mappings, such as English, is well documented. Not much is known for other languages.

Improving the Robustness of Visual Teach‐and‐Repeat Navigation Using Drift Error Correction and Event‐Based Vision for Low‐Light Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Visual teach‐and‐repeat (VTR) navigation allows robots to learn and follow routes without building a full metric map. We show that navigation accuracy for VTR can be improved by integrating a topological map with error‐drift correction based on stereo vision.

Exploring the Emotional Effects of Background Music on EFL Learners’ Lexical Access: A Quantitative–Qualitative Approach

open access: yesSAGE Open
Background music is commonly present in technology-enhanced learning environments, yet its effects on second language (L2) processing remain inconclusive, particularly with respect to the emotional qualities of music.

Continual Learning for Multimodal Data Fusion of a Soft Gripper

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Models trained on a single data modality often struggle to generalize when exposed to a different modality. This work introduces a continual learning algorithm capable of incrementally learning different data modalities by leveraging both class‐incremental and domain‐incremental learning scenarios in an artificial environment where labeled data is ...
