The semantic communication game

2016 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2016
This paper proposes a communication framework where meanings of transmitted codewords over a noisy channel are explicitly taken into account. Furthermore, such communication takes place in the presence of an external entity, i.e., an agent, that can influence the receiver.

On asynchronous communication semantics

1992
This paper presents some results concerning equational theories for an elementary calculus based on a fragment of Milner's π-calculus. The system is interesting because it realises asynchronous message passing not by extending but reducing the original fragment, while preserving the computational power.
