Semantic relations are at the core of any representational system, and are keys to enable the next generation of information processing systems with semantic and reasoning capabilities. Acquisition, description, and formalization of semantic relations are fundamentals in computer-based systems where natural language processing is required.

Journal of Child Language, 1979
ABSTRACTThis study challenges the semantic relations categories widely used for explaining children's early utterances. Ten 3-year-olds were asked two sets of questions involving the verb + with construction. Their responses were categorized according to existing semantic relations categories such as instrumental and locative.

Relational Semantics Through Duality
2006In this paper we show how the classical duality results extended to a Duality via Truth contribute to development of a relational semantics for various modal-like logics. In particular, we present a Duality via Truth for some classes of information algebras and frames. We also show that the full categorical formulation of classical duality extends to a

Relational Scaling in Relational Semantic Systems
2009In this paper two developments in Conceptual Knowledge Processing are combined, namely Contextual Logic introduced by Rudolf Wille and Temporal Concept Analysis introduced by the author. The basic structures connecting both theories are Relational Semantic Systems (RSS), each consisting of conceptual scales and a Relational Data Systems (RDS) for the ...

Semantics and Industrial Relations
Human Organization, 1949While today's pressing problems of industrial relations may be approached from various angles, the student of human relations in industry is forced to conclude that these are, in part, problems in general semantics.

Temporal Relational Semantic Systems
2010In this paper we introduce the notion of a Temporal Relational Semantic System (TRSS) as a relational extension of a Temporal Conceptual Semantic System (TCSS) as defined by the author in 2007. TCSSs allow to represent states of distributed objects in concept lattices of specified views, the TRSSs enable the user to work in a conceptually simple way ...
