GBSS:researches on group-based semantic search

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2006
A group-based semantic search method-GBSS was presented. With regard to architecture,GBSS introduced a hybrid architecture in which the storage and search of raw data was based on DHT network, but the storage and search of meta-data was based on ...

Towards intelligent geospatial data discovery: a machine learning framework for search ranking

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Earth, 2018
Current search engines in most geospatial data portals tend to induce users to focus on one single-data characteristic dimension (e.g. popularity and release date).

Learned Semantic Index Structure Using Knowledge Graph Embedding and Density-Based Spatial Clustering Techniques

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Recently, a pragmatic approach toward achieving semantic search has made significant progress with knowledge graph embedding (KGE). Although many standards, methods, and technologies are applicable to the linked open data (LOD) cloud, there are still ...

Custom-Tailored Radiology Research via Retrieval-Augmented Generation: A Secure Institutionally Deployed Large Language Model System

open access: yesInventions
Large language models (LLMs) show promise in enhancing medical research through domain-specific question answering. However, their clinical application is limited by hallucination risk, limited domain specialization, and privacy concerns.

Towards a Semantic Search Engine for Scientific Articles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Because of the data deluge in scientific publication, finding relevant information is getting harder and harder for researchers and readers. Building an enhanced scientific search engine by taking semantic relations into account poses a great challenge ...

Adult‐Onset Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis Presenting With Subacute Cognitive Deficits

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We describe the case of a 41‐year‐old man diagnosed with adult‐onset subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE). The patient presented with subacute progressive cognitive deficits and a neuropsychological profile indicating predominant frontoparietal dysfunction. MRI showed only mild parietal‐predominant cerebral atrophy.

Hybrid Search: Effectively Combining Keywords and Semantic Searches [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper describes hybrid search, a search method supporting both document and knowledge retrieval via the flexible combination of ontologybased search and keyword-based matching. Hybrid search smoothly copes with lack of semantic coverage of document

Semantic Wiki Search [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Semantic wikis extend wiki platforms with the ability to represent structured information in a machine-processable way. On top of the structured information in the wiki, novel ways to search, browse, and present the wiki content become possible. However, while powerful query languages offer new opportunities for semantic search, the syntax of formal ...

What Do Large Language Models Know About Materials?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
If large language models (LLMs) are to be used inside the material discovery and engineering process, they must be benchmarked for the accurateness of intrinsic material knowledge. The current work introduces 1) a reasoning process through the processing–structure–property–performance chain and 2) a tool for benchmarking knowledge of LLMs concerning ...
