Explainable Deep Multilevel Attention Learning for Predicting Protein Carbonylation Sites
Selective carbonylation sites (SCANS) are conceptualized, designed, evaluated, and released. SCANS captures segment‐level, protein‐level, and residue embeddings features. It utilizes elaborate loss function to penalize cross‐predictions at the residue level.

Abstract Compared to neurotypical peers, autistic adolescents show greater cognitive inflexibility (CI) which manifests at the behavioral and cognitive level and potentially increases vulnerability for the development of internalizing (INT) and externalizing (EXT) symptoms.

Cognitive flexibility in autism: Evidence from young autistic children
Abstract We examined the cognitive flexibility performance of young autistic children and a group of neurotypical peers. Thirty‐six autistic children (72–83 months) and 200 age‐matched typically‐developing children were assessed on the Children's Color Trails Test (CCTT), a semantic and a phonemic verbal fluency task.

Direct recyling of Li‐ion battery materials promises a low‐cost path towards a secure domestic supply of critical materials for batteries. Using cathode material from an end‐of‐life commercial Li‐ion cell, this work identifies the primary degradation mechanisms that diminish the performance of directly reused cathode materials and includes a discussion

Reduced social attention in autism is magnified by perceptual load in naturalistic environments
Abstract Individuals with autism spectrum conditions (ASC) describe differences in both social cognition and sensory processing, but little is known about the causal relationship between these disparate functional domains. In the present study, we sought to understand how a core characteristic of autism—reduced social attention—is impacted by the ...

Robust Semantic Communications for Speech Transmission [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a robust semantic communication system for speech transmission, named Ross-S2T, by delivering the essential semantic information. Particularly, we consider the speech-to-text translation (S2TT) as the transmission goal. First, a deep semantic encoder is developed to directly convert speech in the source language to textual ...

The automated design of dispatching rules (DRs) with genetic programming (GP) has become an important research direction in recent years. One of the most important decisions in applying GP to generate DRs is determining the features of the scheduling ...
