Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

CLOSURE TIME OF SPHENO-OCCIPITAL SUTURE IN THE MALE CADAVERS REFERRED TO LEGAL MEDICINE ORGANIZATION [PDF]
The identity of dead is an essential part of post-mortem examination. The identification of unknown human remnants begins with the creation of an anthropological profile, which includes sex, biological age, stature and individualizing features.

Age-Related Palatal Wound Healing: An Experimental In Vivo Study
We assessed age-related excisional palatal mucoperiosteal wound closure in rats. A 4.2 mm diameter punch was used to create a secondary healing defect in the palate of Wistar rats. Study group—21, 18-month-old vs. control 21, 2-month-old males.

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Flipper coil closure of patent ductus arteriosus [PDF]
Transcatheter closure of patent ductus arteriosus is now a well established therapeutic option. In this paper, we illustrate step by step the technique of Flipper coil closure of small (

Influence of grain structure and slip planarity on fatigue crack growth in low alloying artificially aged 2xxx aluminium alloys [PDF]
The fatigue crack growth behaviour under constant amplitude loading of three low alloying artificially aged 2xxx aluminium alloys with distinct microstructures is analysed. Fatigue crack growth tests show a correlation between fatigue performance and the

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

New Continuity Concepts With Usual, Semi, and Semi-ω-Closure Operators
In this paper, we introduce new forms of continuity, namely, weakly θs-continuity, weakly θsω-continuity, almost θs-continuity, and almost θsω-continuity defined via closure operators.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
