The Cartesian product of two copies of a normed space is naturally equipped with the well-known p-norm. In this paper, another notion of norm is introduced, and will be called the p-HH-norm. This norm is an extension of the generalised logarithmic mean

Indefinite inner products: Nonstandard involution
This chapter fixes a nonstandard involution φ. It introduces indefinite inner products defined on Hn×1 of the symmetric and skewsymmetric types associated with φ and matrices having symmetry properties with respect to one of these indefinite inner ...

Atomistic Mechanisms Triggered by Joule Heating Effects in Metallic Cu‐Bi Nanowires for Spintronics
Bi doped metallic Cu nanowires are promising for spintronics thanks to the stabilization of a giant spin Hall effect. However, heat resulting from current injection forces Bi to leave solution, forcing segregation into monoatomic decorations which evolve into coherent crystalline aggregates.

Semi-inner product structures for groupoids
In this paper there are considered some scalar valued groupoid bihomomorphism structures, being in fact the groupoid counterparts of the inner product notion originally defined for vectors. These bihomomorphisms, called here the semi-inner products for groupoids, determine non-negative real valued functions which fulfill the axioms assumed for a ...

X-inner automorphisms of semi-commutative quantum algebras
Many important quantum algebras such as quantum symplectic space, quantum Euclidean space, quantum matrices, q-analogs of the Heisenberg algebra, and the quantum Weyl algebra are semi-commutative.

Cut the Meat. Semi-finished Products [PDF]
Semi-finished meat products are ingredients prepared from various types of meat for use in cooking. They are in great demand among the population. Depending on the type of meat, semi-finished products from beef, lamb, pork, as well as semi-finished ...

Mechanically Programmable DNA Hydrogel Microparticles for 3D Cellular Systems
DNA hydrogel microparticles are designed to exhibit controllable viscoelasticity and stiffness across three orders of magnitude from 30Pa$30 \,\mathrm{Pa}$ to 6.5kPa$6.5 \,\mathrm{kPa}$. They are uptaken into fibroblast spheroids where they are actively remodeled by cellular forces depending on their mechanical properties.
