ABSTRACT Conventional comparisons between aquaculture systems are based on single criteria such as productivity. Such comparisons suggest that semi-intensive systems perform better than traditional ones. This paper uses a multi-criterion research method to compare traditional and semi-intensive systems in South Sulawesi, Indonesia.
