Semi-leptonic decays of the ξ0 hyperon

Abstract The KTeV experiment at Fermilab was used to observe neutral Cascade hyperon beta decays. This is the first observation of such decays and a preliminary branching ratio for Ξ 0 → Σ + e − v ¯ e of 2.6 ± 0.2 (stat.) ± 0.3 (sys.) x 10−4 is reported.
