Unsupervised Learning of Monocular Depth Estimation:A Survey [PDF]
As the key point of 3D reconstruction, automatic driving and visual SLAM,depth estimation has always been a hot research direction in the field of computer vision, among which, monocular depth estimation technology based on unsupervised learning has been ...

Observer‐Based Adaptive Event‐Triggered Tracking Control for Fuzzy TS Systems With Premise Mismatch
This paper presents an adaptive logistic event‐triggered observer‐based tracking controller for Takagi‐Sugeno fuzzy systems under constrained inputs and network delays. Leveraging a hybrid LMI and Secretary Bird Optimization approach, this strategy significantly minimizes communication overhead and computational burden while ensuring optimal reference ...

The asymptotic variance of semi-parametric estimators with generated regressors [PDF]
We study the asymptotic distribution of three-step estimators of a finite dimensional parameter vector where the second step consists of one or more nonparametric regressions on a regressor that is estimated in the first step. The first step estimator is either parametric or non-parametric.

Performance Analysis of Abradable Coating Systems for Aircraft Gas Turbines
Three CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/MgAl2O4 abradable liner configurations on a nickel‐superalloy are evaluated by thermal‐gradient cycling and incursion tests. Laser ablation of the bondcoat and/or Y2O3‐stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) intermediate layer increases mechanical interlocking and bonding for thick topcoats.

Kerfdr: a semi-parametric kernel-based approach to local false discovery rate estimation
Background The use of current high-throughput genetic, genomic and post-genomic data leads to the simultaneous evaluation of a large number of statistical hypothesis and, at the same time, to the multiple-testing problem.

Karl Popper and the Mechanisms of Hydrogen Embrittlement
Representation of the beginning of loss of ductility rather than embrittlement. Small concentrations of hydrogen in a diffusible form within iron are well‐established to harm the mechanical integrity of steels. There are theories that attempt to explain the pernicious role of hydrogen.

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

truncSP: An R Package for Estimation of Semi-Parametric Truncated Linear Regression Models
Problems with truncated data occur in many areas, complicating estimation and inference. Regarding linear regression models, the ordinary least squares estimator is inconsistent and biased for these types of data and is therefore unsuitable for use ...

Semi-parametric regression estimation of the tail index
Let \( X_{1},X_{2},\ldots,X_{n} \) be a random sample with a distribution function \(F\) satisfying \[ \bar{F}\left( x\right) =x^{-\alpha} L\left(x \right), \quad x\rightarrow \infty, \] where \( \bar{F}=1-F \) and \( L\left(x \right) \) is a slowly varying function, satisfying \( L\left(tx \right) / L\left(x \right) \rightarrow 1 \) as \( x\rightarrow
