Spatially Modulated Morphotropic Phase Boundaries in a Compressively Strained Multiferroic Thin Film

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The coexisting rhombohedral‐like (R′, MA) and tetragonal‐like (T′, MC) monoclinic phases in compressively strained bismuth ferrite thin films exhibit exceptional piezoelectric and magnetic properties. While previous studies have largely focused on probing the morphotropic phase boundaries (MPBs) comprising ordered R′/T′ twins, their self ...

Design of Semi-physical Simulation Test Platform Based on Hierarchical Model [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2018
Traditional semi-physical simulation test platform has problems such as low distributed performance and inconvenient interface expansion. In view of this, this paper adopts ‘layering+distributed’ design concept and designs a semi-physical simulation test ...

Heterogeneous co-simulation for embedded and cyber-physical systems design

open access: yes, 2020
The growing complexity of embedded and cyber-physical systems makes the design of all system components from scratch increasingly impractical. Consequently, already from early stages of a design flow, designers rely on prior experience, which comes in ...

Solution‐Processed Two‐Dimensional Indium Oxide on Sodium‐Embedded Alumina for Reconfigurable Optoelectronic Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Wafer‐scale two‐dimensioanl In2Se3 oxidized into InOx on sodium‐embedded beta‐alumina enables multifunctional reconfigurable electronics. Sodium ions accumulate within distinct spatial distribution under drain‐controlle and gate‐controlled operation. Drain‐control operation gives controllability of ultraviolet‐driven optoelectronic synaptic conductance

Research on obstacle avoidance for aerial work vehicle booms with light arrays based on an improved gradient projection method

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing
In order to solve the spatial obstacle avoidance requirements of the boom jitter caused by the gradient projection method control in the self-motion of the hybrid light array high-altitude vehicle, which leads to the discontinuous motion trajectory and ...

Semi-actively Implemented Non-linear Damping for Building Isolation Under Seismic Loadings

open access: yesFrontiers in Built Environment, 2020
It is well-known that semi-active solution can achieve building isolation with much less energy requirements than active solutions. Also, it has been shown in previous studies that compared to linear damping, non-linear damping performs better for ...

Exciton Binding Energy of Phosphorescent Emitter Molecules in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Energy level alignment is key to efficient OLED design, yet determining LUMO energies remains challenging. A methodology based on field‐induced dissociation and kinetic Monte Carlo simulations is presented to extract LUMO energies of iridium‐based phosphorescent emitters from their exciton binding energy.

Efficient simulation of semiflexible polymers with stiff bonds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We investigate the simulation of stiff (extensible) and rigid (inextensible) semiflexible polymers in solution. In particular, we focus on polymers represented as chains of beads, interconnected by bonds with a low to zero extensibility, and significant ...

Quantifying Subsurface Weak in‐Plane Magnetization of Mixed Phase BiFeO3 by Scanning Nitrogen Vacancy Magnetometry

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We use scanning nitrogen vacancy magnetometry to directly image the weak in‐plane magnetic moments in mixed phase BiFeO3 at the nanoscale and quantify the local magnetic moments to be 18.8±2.0 μB/nm2 in the rhombohedral‐like phase and 1.5±0.6 μB/nm2 in the well‐known non‐magnetic tetragonal‐like phase.

Visualisation of physical simulation using javascript physics engine with X3DOM

open access: yes, 2022
S.315-317In order to visualise the results of a physical simulation and the effect on the related 30 geometry so far only the simulation tools themselves could be applied.
