Semi-Regenerative Processes with Unbounded Rewards

Mathematics of Operations Research, 1979
A semi-regenerative process (SRP) is combined with a reward structure such that the accumulated reward during [0, t] is the sum of a functional of the SRP and a functional of the embedded Markov renewal process (MRP). For the expected (discounted) return a Markov renewal equation (MRE) is given.

A semi-regenerative process of two-unit warm standby system

Microelectronics Reliability, 1982
Abstract This paper deals with two identical units warm standby system; a failure of operating unit can be detected at any time but a failure of standby unit can not be done until a system is inspected. We are able to look upon the stochastic behavior of our model as that of semi-regenerative process. The pointwise unavailability and the steady state

SEMI-REGENERATIVE PROCESSES AND OPTIMIZATION IN r-OUT-OF-n:G SYSTEM

International Journal of Reliability, Quality and Safety Engineering, 1994
In this paper, an r-OUT-OF-n:G system with a single repair facility is analysed. A mathematical model is developed using the concept of semi-regenerative phenomena. Systems of convolution integral equations satisfied by various state probabilities corresponding to different initial conditions are obtained.

Some applications of semi-regenerative processes to two-unit warm standby system

Microelectronics Reliability, 1984
Abstract We deal with a two-unit warm standby system with a single repair facility; a failure of an operating unit can be detected immediately but a failure of a warm standby unit can not be observed until the system is inspected. According to whether the operation of the system is stopped or not during each inspection, we consider two models.
