Comparative analysis of stress distribution in different prosthetic solutions for Kennedy class I bilateral posterior edentulous arches

open access: yesBioscience Journal, 2018
One of greatest challenges of dentists is the rehabilitation of free-end Kennedy class I and class II patients due to the improper occurrence of stress around the supporting structures of conventional removable dentures during mastication.

Sustainable Electrochemical Synthesis of High‐Quality MXenes: Mechanistic Insights, Applications, Challenges, and Technological Prospects

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electrochemical etching provides an eco‐friendly alternative to hazardous HF methods for MXene production. This approach facilitates the selective isolation of the A‐layer from MAX phases with tunable surface terminations. Controlling voltage, electrolytes, temperature, and duration enables the optimal structural integrity. Nevertheless, existing scale

Adaptable Covalent Organic Framework‐Hydrogel Microneedles for Glucose‐Responsive Isoliquiritigenin Delivery in Diabetic Wound Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a covalent organic framework‐loaded Traditional Chinese Medicine monomer nanodrug delivery system (ISL@bCOF) via boron‐oxygen bonds, a smart response to glucose for delivering AI‐driven isoliquiritigenin (ISL) targeting ZBP1. This dynamic release mechanism, combined with transdermal delivery technology via potent microneedles, can modulate ...

Water Permeates and Plasticizes Amorphous Carbon Dots: Unraveling the Inner Accessibility of the Nanoparticles by Glass Transition Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.

Development of a New, High-Power Solar Array for Telecommunication Satellites

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2017
Airbus is currently developing the Next Generation Solar Array (NGSA) for telecommunication satellites. It is based on a hybrid array concept which combines a conventional rigid panel array with lightweight, semi-rigid lateral panels. The main figures of

A note on the diffraction by a semi-Infinite thick half plane, and a semi-infinite cylindrical rod with an absorbent end face

open access: yes, 1994
The known solutions for: (i) A plane wave incident on two rigid semi-infinite parallel plane distance 2b apart, (ii) The radiation of an arbitrary mode from two parallel rigid semi-infinite plates 2b apart, are used to construct the solution of the ...

One‐Dimensional Materials Supported in Two‐Dimensional Van der Waals Metal–Organic Frameworks with Optical Anisotropy Switching via Twist‐Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a molecular strategy to assemble one‐dimensional (1D) materials into two‐dimensional (2D) van der Waals metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). Crystals of [FeX(pzX)(bpy)] (X = Cl, F) form anisotropic 2D layers that can be mechanically exfoliated into thin sheets.
