A semicircular planar inverted-F antenna with a parasitic element
The 8th International Conference on Communication Systems, 2002. ICCS 2002., 2003A semicircular planar inverted-F antenna with a parasitic element is introduced and its characteristics are investigated numerically and experimentally. By setting the two resonant frequencies close together the VSWR bandwidth of 32% is obtained.

Finite element simulation of elastic-creep growth of a semicircular surface crack
Engineering Fracture Mechanics, 1988Abstract An initially semicircular crack loaded in Mode I tension with a material model similar to 316 SS at 600°C has been simulated using the finite element method. Two techniques have been used to predict creep crack growth. One technique assumes that the rate of crack growth does not effect the crack tip stress and strain rate distributions and ...

Vestibular system is a biosensor accelerometer in inner ear of human body which detects motion and spatial position of body. Human's brain can use the output information of this system to control muscles. Today, a sensor with ability to detect spatial position in some special conditions or to decrease errors can be helpful.

A Phased Array Composed of Dipole with Semicircular Ring for 5G
International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2019A phased array is designed for 5G mobile communication system. Semicircular ring is added into dipole element of the array to increase current path and reduce the size of the antenna; and its bandwidth is 4.2 GHz covering 26.2-30.4 GHz. The simulated S11

The semicircular specimen under three-point bending (SCB) has been widely used to investigate mode I, mode II, and mixed mode I/II fracture behavior in brittle rocks. Compared to the other numerical methods, the extended finite element method (X-FEM) models a crack independently of the finite element mesh without any remeshing step in fracture ...
