Zinner syndrome diagnosed by magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography: role of imaging to identify and evaluate the uncommon variation in development of the male genital tract

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports, 2017
Seminal vesicle cysts are a very rare condition and its often associated with ipsilateral renal agenesis. The diagnosis of seminal vesicle cysts may be delayed or missed because of the non-specific symptoms of this condition. This article reports a triad

Laparoscopic removal of congenital seminal vesicle cyst in a preadolescent male: A unique case report

open access: yesJournal of the Scientific Society, 2021
Zinner syndrome refers to the triad of ipsilateral renal agenesis, seminal vesicle cysts, and ejaculatory duct obstruction. Ipsilateral renal agenesis may be associated with seminal vesicle cysts in 70% of cases, but a remnant ureteral bud has been shown

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

A rare case of suspected intravascular large B-cell lymphoma forming nodular masses in the brain and around the prostate and seminal vesicle

open access: yesUrology Case Reports, 2018
Intravascular large B-cell lymphoma (IVLBCL) is a rare subtype of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Furthermore, tumorigenesis is extremely rare. An 80-year-old man was admitted to our hospital with nervous symptoms.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Nuclear medicine procedures and the evaluation of male sexual organs: a short review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Sexuality consists of three aspects that are interrelated and inseparable, biological, physiological and social. The biological aspect considers the individual's capability to give and to receive pleasure.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Ectopic Prostatic and Seminal Vesicle Tissue Confusing as Metastatic Adenocarcinoma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Ectopic prostatic tissue and seminal vesicle at pericolic fat is extremely rare. The nodules in the pericolic fat could raise a dilemma of metastatic deposits in cases of rectal adenocarcinoma.
