A rare variant of zinner syndrome with ejaculatory duct cyst: case report and challenges in diagnosis and management

open access: yesBMC Urology
Background Zinner syndrome (ZS) is a congenital malformation characterized by a triad of mesonephric (Wolffian) duct dysplasia, first identified by Zinner in 1914.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

A potential role for the clathrin adaptor GGA in Drosophila spermatogenesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
BACKGROUND: GGAs (Golgi-localised, γ-ear containing, ADP ribosylation factor-binding) are a family of clathrin adaptors that sort a number of biologically important transmembrane proteins into clathrin-coated vesicles.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Zinner’s Syndrome: A Rare Diagnosis of Dysuria Based on Imaging

open access: yesCase Reports in Urology, 2020
Zinner’s syndrome is a rare congenital malformation of the seminal vesicle and ipsilateral upper urinary tract, due to developmental arrest in early embryogenesis of the Müllerian duct.

Crossed testicular ectopia [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Crossed testicular ectopia (CTE) is a rare anomaly, characterized by migration of one testis towards the opposite inguinal canal. Presented here is a case of crossed ectopia of the right testis, treated by extraperitoneal transposition of the gonad and ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

An unusual cause of prostatism in an aged patient: seminal vesicle cyst

open access: yesUrology Research and Practice, 2019
Seminal vesicle cysts are uncommon and rarely symptomatic. They are generally seen at younger ages in parallel with increased sexual activity. A 62-year-old patient presented with prostatism symptoms.

Primary isolated echinococcal cyst of the seminal vesicle: A rare case

open access: yesUrology Annals, 2012
Hydatid disease of the organs other than liver and lung is extremely rare. Although hydatid disease is endemic in India, we report a rare case of hydatid cyst in a young male primarily involving the seminal vesicle and aim to highlight the management of ...
