Stretched Horizon and Entropy of Superstars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Amongst the class of supergravity solutions found by Lin, Lunin and Maldacena, we consider pure and mixed state configurations generated by phase space densities in the dual fermionic picture.

Tailoring Vascular‐Immune Homeostasis via Manganese‐DNA Complex‐Armed Immunogenic Extracellular Vesicles for Pancreatic Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that Mn2⁺–tumor DNA complexes encapsulated in dendritic cell (DC)– derived immunogenic extracellular vesicles (EVDC@Mn‐DNA) act as a DC‐specific cGAS– STING activator. EVDC@Mn‐DNA treatment enhances intratumoral DC activation, improves tumor vascular function, promotes CD8⁺ T cell activity, and suppresses pancreatic tumor growth,

Exploring urban vegetation index trends, seasonal variations, and their correlation with temperature in Benin (West Africa)

open access: yesUrban Resilience and Sustainability
Despite the vital role of seasonal urban vegetation dynamics in regulating temperatures and supporting sustainable climate management, this area remains largely unexplored in Benin.

METTL1‐Mediated M7G tRNA Modification Promotes Residual Liver Regeneration After Hepatectomy via Translational Control

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
METTL1 and its mediated m7G tRNA modification are significantly up‐regulated after partial hepatectomy (PHx). Overexpression of METTL1 improves the efficiency of liver regeneration after PHx, increases the proliferation of hepatocytes, and accelerates the recovery of liver function.

Evolution of Tachyon Kink with Electric Field [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We investigate the decay of an inhomogeneous D1-brane wrapped on a $S^1$ with an electric field. The model that we consider consists of an array of tachyon kink and anti-kink with a constant electric flux. Beginning with an initially static configuration,

Seasonal and annual trends in reference evapotranspiration and prediction using machine learning models across seven climatic zones of Bangladesh

open access: yesGeology, Ecology, and Landscapes
The primary aim of this investigation is to examine the historical (1989–2020) and future trends and magnitude of Reference Evapotranspiration (ET0) in terms of spatiotemporal measures, considering its significance as a hydro-meteorological parameter ...

Long-Term Trends and Seasonality Detection of the Observed Flow in Yangtze River Using Mann-Kendall and Sen’s Innovative Trend Method

open access: yesWater, 2019
Trend analysis of streamflow provides practical information for better management of water resources on the eve of climate change. Thus, the objective of this study is to evaluate the presence of possible trends in the annual, seasonal, maximum, and ...

Neural Circuits between Nodose Ganglion and Pulmonary Neuroendocrine Cells Regulate Lung Inflammatory Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TRPA1+αCGRP+ sensory neurons in the nodose ganglion detect external insults such as lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and interact directly with pulmonary neuroendocrine cells (PNECs), promoting their activation and proliferation. This neural‐epithelial interaction amplifies lung inflammation.

Polarizability and dynamic structure factor of the one-dimensional Bose gas near the Tonks-Girardeau limit at finite temperatures

open access: yes, 2006
Correlation functions related to the dynamic density response of the one-dimensional Bose gas in the model of Lieb and Liniger are calculated. An exact Bose-Fermi mapping is used to work in a fermionic representation with a pseudopotential Hamiltonian ...

Vegetation Phenological Responses to Multi-Factor Climate Forcing on the Tibetan Plateau: Nonlinear and Spatially Heterogeneous Mechanisms

open access: yesLand
The Tibetan Plateau is a globally critical climate-sensitive and ecologically fragile region. Vegetation phenology serves as a key indicator of ecosystem responses to climate change and simultaneously influences regional carbon cycling, water regulation,
