Hybrid Stenting of Pulmonary Venous Baffle Stenosis

open access: yesJACC: Case Reports
A 31-year-old woman with transposition of the great arteries status post-Senning operation presents with severe pulmonary venous baffle obstruction. Both standards of care (percutaneous stenting or open repair) were deemed suboptimal and/or high risk.

Electrophysiological studies after the Mustard and Senning operations for complete transposition. Do they have prognostic value?

open access: yes, 1990
Overall, long-term survival after the Mustard or Senning operation is good, but late arrhythmias remain a concern. Whether postoperative electrophysiological investigations can identify patients at risk of developing serious arrhythmias is unknown.

Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator in a Patient with Eisenmenger Syndrome after Senning Repair for Transposition of the Great Arteries

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, 2009
An implantation of a cardioverter-defibrillator was attempted in a 32-year-old man with atrial tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia and sinus node dysfunction. He had undergone a Senning operation and half closure of ventricular septal defect in order to

Complete transposition of great arteries associated with total anomalous pulmonary venous connection: An unusual cause for early left ventricular myocardial mass regression

open access: yesAnnals of Pediatric Cardiology, 2019
A 24-day-old apparently asymptomatic neonate was found to have complete transposition of great arteries with small patent ductus arteriosus and restrictive patent foramen ovale. The neonate was found to have relatively high saturations (saturations = 88%)

Timely Detection of Subclinical Heart Failure Among Children with D-Transposition of Great Arteries after Senning Operation: A Single Center Experience [PDF]

open access: yesPediatric Sciences Journal (Egypt)
Background: Atrial switch operation, was introduced by Ake Senning in 1958 for patients with D-transposition of great arteries (D-TGA). The major disadvantage of the atrial switch procedure is right ventricle (RV) failure in up to 7% to 10% of patients ...
