Potential Early Risk Biomarkers for Reduced Forced Expiratory Volume in Children Post‐Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We sought to identify potential early risk biomarkers for lung disease in children post‐allogeneic HCT. Patients with pulmonary function tests 3 months post‐transplant and plasma samples between days 7 and 14 post‐HCT were included. Six of 27 subjects enrolled had reduced forced expiratory volume 1 (FEV1) z scores.

Novel TransQT Neural Network: A Deep Learning Framework for Acoustic Echo Cancellation in Noisy Double-Talk Scenario

open access: yesIEEE Access
Acoustic echo is a persistent issue in telecommunication that degrades the quality of speech and breaks down communication either entirely or for a period of time; therefore, acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) systems were developed. The demand for AEC has

Structural Electronic Skin for Conformal Tactile Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, 2023
AbstractThe conformal integration of the electronic skin on the non‐developable surface is in great demand for the comprehensive tactile sensing of robotics and prosthetics. However, the current techniques still encounter obstacles in achieving conformal integration of film‐like electronic skin on non‐developable surfaces with substantial curvatures ...

The MedSupport Multilevel Intervention to Enhance Support for Pediatric Medication Adherence: Development and Feasibility Testing

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction We developed MedSupport, a multilevel medication adherence intervention designed to address root barriers to medication adherence. This study sought to explore the feasibility and acceptability of the MedSupport intervention strategies to support a future full‐scale randomized controlled trial.

Development of a Single Degree of Freedom Haptic System Handle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Sense of touch is one of the most important senses for human. Human feels and interacts with the environment through their sense of touch. This thesis describes the design and development of a single degree of freedom handle with force feedback.

Generation of Motion of Drops with Interfacial Contact

open access: yes, 2015
A liquid drop moves on a solid surface if it is subjected to a gradient of wettability or temperature. However, the pinning defects on the surface manifested in terms of a wetting hysteresis, or first-order nonlinear friction, limit the motion in the ...
