Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Controlled sensing for hypothesis testing

In this paper, the problem of multiple hypothesis testing with observation control is considered. The structure of the optimal controller under various asymptotic regimes is studied. First, a setup with a fixed sample size is considered. In this setup, the asymptotic quantity of interest is the optimal exponent for the maximal error probability.
