Sensitivity and dynamic accuracy of control systems
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1964Publisher Summary This chapter describes sensitivity and dynamic accuracy of control systems. The problem of sensitivity of dynamic systems, and particularly of control systems, with respect to parameter changes occupies a very important place in modern engineering. The interest in this problem is twofold. On the one hand, in the physical realization

Sensitivity Reduction in Aircraft Control Systems
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1978A method for reducing trajectory sensitivity to parameter perturbations for linear feedback systems is described. Application of the method to the design of aircraft control systems, with special reference to a helicopter forward flight control system, is illustrated.

An Automatic Sensitivity Time Control System
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace, 1964A completely transistorized automatic sensitivity time control (ASTC) circuit was designed and developed to operate in conjunction with a side-looking airborne radar surveillance set. The ASTC technique is a closed loop system which automatically controls the radar receiver gain vs range function in accordance with the average signal return.

Sensitivity of optimal control systems with bang-bang control†
International Journal of Control, 1973The effects of small parameter variations on the performance index of optimal control systems with initial and final target manifolds, free end time, and bang-bang control are analyzed in this paper. A new approach to the sensitivity equation is presented.

Sensitivity minimisation in computer control systems
Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control, 1990The sensitivity of linear, shift invariant system models to parameter variations is discussed. Conditions minimising the sensitivity of the system model to these variations are derived, enabling stability margins to be maintained.

Sensitivity of automatic control systems with variable structure
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1964Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the sensitivity of automatic control systems with variable structure. It describes the task of synthesizing control systems for linear plants with variable parameters satisfying specified performance criteria. As one of the indices of dynamic properties of the system, the settling time is considered.

Sensitivity Analysis of Time Optimal Control Systems
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1984Abstract Despite the tremendous work done in sensitivity analysis in recent years, few results have been become known in the field of the sensitivity of time optimal control systems. This paper is an attempt to derive general results for the sensitivity of time optimal single and multi-input control systems.

Sensitivities of large, multiple-loop control systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1965This paper describes a method of analyzing large, multiple-loop control systems which can be represented by simultaneous, linear, first-order, differential equations. The eigenvalues of the system are found using the QR transform. Next, the sensitivities of these eigenvalues to the system's parameters are found from the normal and transposed ...

Low‐sensitivity controllers for discrete‐time systems
Journal of the Chinese Institute of Engineers, 1985Abstract The problem of trajectory sensitivity considered in the literature was restricted to the continuous‐time systems. Some of the criteria provided in previous work (9, 10) are extended to the discrete‐time control systems. Two methods based on the Z‐domain design technique are developed to overcome the difficulty of obtaining the variations of ...

Assessing eigenvalue sensitivities [power system control simulation]
IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2000The motivation for this paper is the fact that in practice, the parameters of a power system are only approximately known. The paper discusses the sensitivity of eigenvalues in terms of state matrix entry changes (model uncertainty) and parameter changes (parameter uncertainty).
