Sensitivity controller for uncertain systems

Journal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 1988
In this paper a new controller design, which we Shall call the "trajectory sensitivity optimization" method, is presented to improve the robustness for parameter variations. The method uses the sensitivity trajectory to model the parameter uncertainty and introduces a special quadratic cost function involving an input and output sensitivity term ...

Systems of Sensitized Robots Supervisory Control

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1977
The paper exhibits the question of an organization of the sensitized robots supervisory control. The various approaches to the synthesis of robots control algorithms are described. The Algorithmic Robot Control System has been developed in Leningrad Polytechnical Institute to control the actions of Robots. The robot control language ROCOL and the built-

Solutions to the combined sensitivity and complementary sensitivity problem in control systems

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1996
Summary: In a recent paper, a set of necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions to the combined sensitivity and complementary sensitivity (CSCS) problem in control systems was given. However, a practical method for constructing solutions to this problem was not presented.

Comments on "Solutions to the combined sensitivity and complementary sensitivity problem in control systems

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1998
Summary: In the above-mentioned paper, a numerical example is given to show that the Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation formulas appearing in [1] and [2] are incorrect. By comparing [2] with [3] we illustrate that the correct formulas are obtained by simply taking the transpose of the Pick matrix given in [1] and [2].

Sensitivity and dynamic accuracy of control systems

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1964
Publisher Summary This chapter describes sensitivity and dynamic accuracy of control systems. The problem of sensitivity of dynamic systems, and particularly of control systems, with respect to parameter changes occupies a very important place in modern engineering. The interest in this problem is twofold. On the one hand, in the physical realization

Sensitivity of automatic control systems with variable structure

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1964
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the sensitivity of automatic control systems with variable structure. It describes the task of synthesizing control systems for linear plants with variable parameters satisfying specified performance criteria. As one of the indices of dynamic properties of the system, the settling time is considered.

Sensitivity aspects of linear digital control systems

Automatica, 1969
A technique for the sensitivity analysis of linear computer controlled systems is presented. The incremental covariance of estimation error is used to demonstrate quantitatively the deterioration in estimation quality under the perturbed initial conditions, system parameters, plant and measurement noise covariances.

Engine Control System Sensitivity

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1982
<div class="htmlview paragraph">THIS PAPER describes the use of sensitivity functions to investigate the sensitivity of engine control systems to unknown variations in parameters. The definition of output sensitivity functions and the derivation of their defining differential equations are reviewed.

Sensitivity of linear control systems to large parameter variations

Automatica, 1969
This paper is concerned with the sensitivity of a linear system-quadratic type cost functional to large parameter variations in the description of the linear system. For some class of parameter variations @e and some real number @r, the concept of @r-sensitivity is introduced: @r-sensitivity occurs if the value of the cost functional does not increase ...
