Sensitivity Reduction in Aircraft Control Systems
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1978A method for reducing trajectory sensitivity to parameter perturbations for linear feedback systems is described. Application of the method to the design of aircraft control systems, with special reference to a helicopter forward flight control system, is illustrated.

An Automatic Sensitivity Time Control System
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace, 1964A completely transistorized automatic sensitivity time control (ASTC) circuit was designed and developed to operate in conjunction with a side-looking airborne radar surveillance set. The ASTC technique is a closed loop system which automatically controls the radar receiver gain vs range function in accordance with the average signal return.

The performance and sensitivity of classical control systems
International Journal of Systems Science, 1978A definition is given of the performance required from a device such as a multi-variable regulator or servomechanism, and sufficient conditions that, guarantee such performance are derived. These conditions are expressed in terms of the step responses and are useful in design.

Sensitivity minimisation in computer control systems
Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control, 1990The sensitivity of linear, shift invariant system models to parameter variations is discussed. Conditions minimising the sensitivity of the system model to these variations are derived, enabling stability margins to be maintained.

Sensitivity of optimal control systems with bang-bang controlâ€
International Journal of Control, 1973The effects of small parameter variations on the performance index of optimal control systems with initial and final target manifolds, free end time, and bang-bang control are analyzed in this paper. A new approach to the sensitivity equation is presented.

Sensitivity of automatic control systems with variable structure
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1964Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the sensitivity of automatic control systems with variable structure. It describes the task of synthesizing control systems for linear plants with variable parameters satisfying specified performance criteria. As one of the indices of dynamic properties of the system, the settling time is considered.

Solutions to the combined sensitivity and complementary sensitivity problem in control systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1996In a recent paper, a set of necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions to the combined sensitivity and complementary sensitivity (CSCS) problem in control systems was given. However, a practical method for constructing solutions to this problem was not presented.

On performance sensitivity of optimal control systemsâ€
International Journal of Control, 1972Formulae for the differential, with respect to plant parameters of an optimized performance index (performance sensitivity), are extended to include hard (instantaneous) as well as soft (isoperimetric) constraints on the control. In particular, this extends to discontinuous and bang-bang controls the Pagurek-Witscnhausen result on the equality of such ...

On sensitivity minimization for linear control system
1980A linear control system Open image in new window is considered. $$x(t){\mathbf{ }} \in {\mathbf{ }}R^n {\mathbf{ }}u(t){\mathbf{ }} \in {\mathbf{ }}R^m {\mathbf{ }}y(t){\mathbf{ }} \in {\mathbf{ }}R^p {\mathbf{ }}r{\mathbf{ }} \in \Omega \subset {\mathbf{ }}R^q$$ The goal is to find a feedback $$x(t){\mathbf{ }} \in {\mathbf{ }}R^n ...

Sensitivity Analysis of Time Optimal Control Systems
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1984Abstract Despite the tremendous work done in sensitivity analysis in recent years, few results have been become known in the field of the sensitivity of time optimal control systems. This paper is an attempt to derive general results for the sensitivity of time optimal single and multi-input control systems.
