Robustness versus efficiency for nonparametric correlation measures. [PDF]
Nonparametric correlation measures at the Kendall and Spearman correlation are widely used in the behavioral sciences. These measures are often said to be robust, in the sense of being resistant to outlying observations.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

From climate risk to action: Analysing adaptation decision robustness under uncertainty
Climate adaptation decisions are made under great uncertainty, arising from uncertainties about both the level of climate risk and the attributes of decision options.

Adaptive Pruning with Module Robustness Sensitivity: Balancing Compression and Robustness
Neural network pruning has traditionally focused on weight-based criteria to achieve model compression, frequently overlooking the crucial balance between adversarial robustness and accuracy. Existing approaches often fail to preserve robustness in pruned networks, leaving them more susceptible to adversarial attacks.

Local robustness measures for posterior summaries [PDF]
This paper deals with measures of local robustness for particular Bayesian quantities, i.e. posterior summaries. We build a framework where any Bayesian quantity can be seen as a posterior functional and its sensitivity to all inputs is checked.

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

Functional Diagram of High-Precision Drive with Variables
The robustness property determines sensitivity of drive quality to immeasurable deviations of its parameters and characteristics of disturbing influences. The paper shows that a standard drive has a local speed feedback in order to ensure robustness at a

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.
