Calibration of a Wearable Glucose Sensor
The International Journal of Artificial Organs, 1992Calibration of glucose sensors proved difficult for electrodes with immobilized glucose-oxidase. The correlation between the sensitivity of the electrodes in vitro and in vivo appeared to be poor. We developed a new type of glucose sensor, based on a microdialysis system, in which an oxygen electrode is used as detector outside the body and the enzyme ...

Technique for calibrating an omnidirectional sensor
Proceedings 1999 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems. Human and Environment Friendly Robots with High Intelligence and Emotional Quotients (Cat. No.99CH36289), 2003In this paper we present a method to calibrate our omnidirectional sensor named SYCLOP ("Conic System for Localization and Perception"). Actually this sensor is installing on the mobile robot SARAH, and it is able to rake a panoramic image of the environment. From this image we can localize the mobile robot using natural beacon detection.

Blind calibration of sensor networks
Proceedings of the 6th international conference on Information processing in sensor networks - IPSN '07, 2007This paper considers the problem of blindly calibrating sensor response using routine sensor network measurements. We show that as long as the sensors slightly oversample the signals of interest, then unknown sensor gains can be perfectly recovered. Remarkably, neither a controlled stimulus nor a dense deployment is required.

Calibration of Rotating Sensors
2009This paper reports about a method for calibrating rotating senors, namely, rotating sensor-line cameras and laser range-finders. Both together are used to reconstruct accurately 3D environments, such as, for example, large buildings. One of the important steps in the 3D reconstruction pipeline is the fusion of data.

Sensors calibration for Metrology 4.0
2019 II Workshop on Metrology for Industry 4.0 and IoT (MetroInd4.0&IoT), 2019Industry 4.0 includes a wide variety of sensors to monitor different parameters along the process or to measure quality specifications, most of those sensors are electronically integrated to the process control. Some ISO quality standards require that “where necessary to ensure valid results, measuring equipment shall be calibrated” [3].

Calibrating Nonlinear Mobile Sensors
2008 5th Annual IEEE Communications Society Conference on Sensor, Mesh and Ad Hoc Communications and Networks, 2008In-field calibration of sensor devices is known to be a challenging problem because there is often no access to a controlled signal field and/or a pre-calibrated device to provide the ground truth. Nonlinear characteristics of sensor devices make the calibration problem even harder. In this paper, we describe two blind calibration schemes for nonlinear

Feature Calibration in Sensor Networks
2008 IEEE International Symposium on Parallel and Distributed Processing with Applications, 2008Despite recent theory development, methods of calibration that accurately recover signals from biased sensor readings remain limited in their applicability. Acoustic sensors, for instance, which have been popular in low power wireless sensor networks, are difficult to calibrate in this manner, given their significant hardware variability, large dynamic

Reconstruction with the calibrated SYCLOP sensor
Proceedings. 2000 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS 2000) (Cat. No.00CH37113), 2002In this paper we present a method of calibrating the omnidirectional sensor used in our laboratory and named SYCLOP ("Conic System for Localization and Perception"). In order to have better precision than that obtained in classical applications using this kind of sensor, we highlight the importance of calibration for the whole sensor.

Tracker Endoscope Calibration and Body-Sensors’ Calibration
2009In general, when the sensors are mounted on a robot arm, one can use the hand–eye calibration algorithm to calibrate them. In this chapter, we present the calibration of an endoscopic camera with respect to a tracking system and the case of a mobile robot for that one has to calibrate the robot’s sensors with respect to the robot’s global coordinate ...

Triaxial Sensor Calibration: A Prototype for Accelerometer and Gyroscope Calibration
2017The calibration of an accelerometer, and a gyroscope is performed. A linear sensor model have been used. The triaxial sensor calibration algorithm is based on the minimization of a cost function, and is performed offline. Calibration hardware has been designed, and used to get the calibration data.
