Model-based multi-sensor data fusion
Proceedings 1992 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2003The authors describe an algorithm for implementing a multisensor system in a model-based environment with consideration of the constraints. Based on an environment model, geometric features and constraints are generated from a CAD model database. Sensor models are used to predict sensor response to certain features and to interpret raw sensor data.

Zigbee sensor networks with data fusion
2008 3rd International Symposium on Communications, Control and Signal Processing, 2008In this paper, we propose a simulation-based analysis of the impact of data fusion mechanisms in a Zigbee sensor network used to monitor a spatially constant binary phenomenon. The performance indicators of interest are both physical layer-oriented (Bit Error Rate, BER) and networking- oriented (throughput, delay, and aggregate throughput).

Behavioral knowledge in sensor/data fusion systems
Journal of Robotic Systems, 1990AbstractThis article proposes a behavioral control formalism to explain situations often encountered in complex sensor/data fusion (eventually decentralized) information acquisition, command and control systems, it involves making the input‐output relations of each actor involved in the fusion process conditional on selected behavioral classes, with ...

Sensor data fusion using Kalman filter
Proceedings of the Third International Conference on Information Fusion, 2000Autonomous robots and vehicles need accurate positioning and localization for their guidance, navigation and control. Often, two or more different sensors are used to obtain reliable data useful for control systems. The paper presents the data fusion system for mobile robot navigation.

The main contribution of this paper is to present a sensor fusion approach to scene environment mapping as part of a Sensor Data Fusion (SDF) architecture. This approach involves combined sonar array with stereo vision readings. Sonar readings are interpreted using probability density functions to the occupied and empty regions.
