Cerebrospinal Fluid Over Plasma Links Analytes to Cognitive Decline in Older Adults at Risk for Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To identify inflammatory analytes in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma associated with cognitive decline in cognitively normal (CN) older adults at risk for Alzheimer's disease (AD). Methods In a longitudinal study of 118 CN older adults (65–80 years, 54% APOE ε4, 26% preclinical AD), 1331 CSF and 1501 plasma analytes were ...

Plant Based Diets : Sensory Attractiveness Increases Acceptability of Meat Substitutes

open access: yes, 2018
To promote plant-based diets, research has been focusing on finding potential barriers faced by consumers when adopting meat substitute products. Some major barriers include texture, price, and appearance. We are interested in how the appearance of meat substitute influence people’s willingness to eat plant-based diet.

Attracting tourists with online sensory marketing: A case of Pamukkale

open access: yes, 2022
The senses are one of the most important perception tools. The senses of sight, taste, hearing, touch and smell affect all of individuals’ decisions, as well as their preferences, attitudes and understanding of something, and this happens very naturally. Tourism is a concept that is all about the senses. Seeing, tasting, smelling, looking, hearing, and

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.
