A linear time-invariant model for a vector-controlled two-phase stepping motor [PDF]
Recent research on stepping motors concerns intelligent motion control algorithms such as vector - and sensorless control. Sensorless control is commonly based on a motor model.

Sensorless stabilization of bounce juggling [PDF]
The paper studies the properties of a sinusoidally vibrating wedge billiard as a model for 2-D bounce juggling. It is shown that some periodic orbits that are unstable in the elastic fixed wedge become exponentially stable in the nonelastic vibrating wedge.

An adaptive fuzzy controller using an interval type‐3 fuzzy logic system replaces the SMC switching term to mitigate chattering while preserving global stability for islanded inverters. Simulations show lower THD, greater robustness to disturbances and parameter variations, and improved voltage‐tracking accuracy, with applicability to other uncertain ...

Sensorless MPPT Algorithms for PV Systems in Partially Shaded Scenarios
This manuscript presents current sensorless algorithms for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) in partially shaded photovoltaic (PV) systems. The necessity of a current sensor is eliminated with the use of mathematical modeling of the power electronics ...

A globally exponentially stable position observer for interior permanent magnet synchronous motors
The design of a position observer for the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor is a challenging problem that, in spite of many research efforts, remained open for a long time.

A Sensorless Brushless DC Motor System.
AbstractThis paper describes a brushless dc motor system without position or speed sensor. The brushless motor consists of a permanent magnet synchronous motor and a voltage‐source inverter capable of controlling the amplitude and frequency of voltage.

Role of the modifications at the interface in glass fiber reinforced composites for damage monitoring. ABSTRACT Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymers (GFRPs) are widely used in structural applications but degrade over time due to internal damage. Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) enables early damage detection, improving reliability and reducing maintenance

Online Sensorless Induction Motor Temperature Monitoring
A sensorless internal temperature monitoring method for induction motors is proposed in this paper. This method can be embedded in standard motor drives, and is based on the stator windings resistance variation with temperature. A small AC signal is injected to the motor, superimposed to the power supply current, in order to measure the stator ...

ABSTRACT This study introduces stator currents‐based model reference adaptive system (MRAS) estimators that employ variable structured control (VSC) in the adaptation mechanism to enable the online estimation of stator resistance and permanent magnet (PM) flux in interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSMs).

The unique structure of bearingless motors requires extra displacement sensors to monitor rotor movement, unlike conventional synchronous motors. However, this requirement inevitably escalates the cost and size of the motor. To address these issues, this
