Sensorless stabilization of bounce juggling [PDF]
The paper studies the properties of a sinusoidally vibrating wedge billiard as a model for 2-D bounce juggling. It is shown that some periodic orbits that are unstable in the elastic fixed wedge become exponentially stable in the nonelastic vibrating wedge.

An adaptive fuzzy controller using an interval type‐3 fuzzy logic system replaces the SMC switching term to mitigate chattering while preserving global stability for islanded inverters. Simulations show lower THD, greater robustness to disturbances and parameter variations, and improved voltage‐tracking accuracy, with applicability to other uncertain ...

Euler-Lagrange models with complex currents of three-phase electrical machines and observability issues [PDF]
A new Lagrangian formulation with complex currents is developed and yields a direct and simple method for modeling three-phase permanent-magnet and induction machines. The Lagrangian is the sum a mechanical one and of a magnetic one.

A Sensorless Brushless DC Motor System.
AbstractThis paper describes a brushless dc motor system without position or speed sensor. The brushless motor consists of a permanent magnet synchronous motor and a voltage‐source inverter capable of controlling the amplitude and frequency of voltage.

ABSTRACT This work addresses the challenge of bidirectional trajectory tracking in solar‐powered wheeled mobile robots (WMRs), considering the mechanical structure, actuator‐driver, and power stage subsystems. Notably, this is the first study to explicitly model and control the actuator‐driver subsystem within this context. The proposed solution relies

The unique structure of bearingless motors requires extra displacement sensors to monitor rotor movement, unlike conventional synchronous motors. However, this requirement inevitably escalates the cost and size of the motor. To address these issues, this

Induction Motor Control Didactic Set-up Using Sensorless And Sliding Mode Dtc Strategy
A three-phase induction motor direct torque control laboratory set-up for simulation and experimental activities is presented in this paper. It includes sliding-mode controllers and uses a sensorless method to estimate rotor speed. The objective of this

Wide-Speed Range Sensorless Control of an IPM Motor for Multi-Purpose Applications
In a growing number of battery-driven applications the need of removing any position and speed transducer is taking over due to space, cost and mechanical reliability constraints, further than making the installation easier as requiring less wiring. This

On the stator flux linkage estimation of an PMSM with extended Kalman filters [PDF]
The demand for drives with high quality torque control has grown tremendously in a wide variety of applications. Direct torque control (DTC) for permanent magnet synchronous motors can provide this accurate and fast torque control.

Online Sensorless Induction Motor Temperature Monitoring
A sensorless internal temperature monitoring method for induction motors is proposed in this paper. This method can be embedded in standard motor drives, and is based on the stator windings resistance variation with temperature. A small AC signal is injected to the motor, superimposed to the power supply current, in order to measure the stator ...
