Biofeedback improves postural control recovery from multi-axis discrete perturbations
Background Multi-axis vibrotactile feedback has been shown to significantly reduce the root-mean-square (RMS) sway, elliptical fits to sway trajectory area, and the time spent outside of the no feedback zone in individuals with vestibular deficits during

Clustering sensory inputs using NeuroEvolution of augmenting topologies [PDF]
Sorting data into groups and clusters is one of the fundamental tasks of artificially intelligent systems. Classical clustering algorithms rely on heuristic (k-nearest neighbours) or statistical methods (k-means, fuzzy c-means) to derive clusters and these have performed well. Neural networks have also been used in clustering data, but researchers have

Catalytically Enhanced Near Room‐Temperature Hydrogen Sensing Using Pd‐ZnO Colloidal Crystals
Pd‐decorated ZnO colloidal crystal monolayers demonstrate excellent performance across a wide hydrogen concentration range at 33°C, with high selectivity and reproducible device fabrication. The sensors show strong responses even at low‐ppm H2 concentrations and an ultra‐low detection limit of 82 ppb, indicating their suitability for diverse hydrogen ...

Operando Tracking of Oxygen‐Vacancy Dynamics and Negative Capacitance in Ca‐Doped BiFeO3
Operando electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, combined with electrocoloration, enables a direct correlation between real‐space ionic redistribution and the corresponding frequency‐domain electrical response. In lateral Ca‐doped BiFeO3 devices, time‐resolved impedance snapshots capture the evolution from bulk‐dominated mixed conduction to an ...

Objective Sensory Changes Following Subfascial Breast Augmentation [PDF]
Sensory changes occur following breast augmentation, and describing the incidence, pattern, and course of deficit is important for informed consent. To examine sensory changes following subfascial breast augmentation, and the influence of change in breast volume caused by an implant. One hundred and sixty-two consecutive patients undergoing subfascial ...

Molecular rotors are fluorescent molecules that are sensitive to viscosity and temperature variations in the environment. They exhibit a direct correlation between fluorescence and viscosity within Newtonian fluids. However, this correlation becomes less straightforward in complex systems.

Whose mind is it anyway? A systematic review and exploration on agency in cognitive augmentation
Technologies for human augmentation aim to enhance sensory, motor, and cognitive abilities. Despite the growing interest in cognitive augmentation, the sense of agency and the feeling of control over one’s actions and outcomes remained underexplored.

A new class of sulfur‐free, oxygen‐bridged dibenzofuran‐based polymers is developed for ultrahigh‐refractive‐index applications. The rigid π‐extended architecture and enhanced molecular polarizability enable exceptional optical performance, combining refractive indices up to 1.848 with high Abbe numbers and full visible transparency. This work offers a

An Edible Chitosan‐Based Acoustic Sensor for Sound‐Responsive Actuation in Edible Robots
This study introduces an edible acoustic sensor for robotic food and edible robotics. Built from a chitosan piezoelectric film between gold electrodes, the sensor enables acoustic communication through ON/OFF keying. Integrated into an edible robot with pneumatically actuated arms and neck, it responds to high‐frequency tones.
