DNA‐PKcs‐Driven YAP1 Phosphorylation and Nuclear Translocation: a Key Regulator of Ferroptosis in Hyperglycemia‐Induced Cardiac Dysfunction in Type 1 Diabetes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In the context of chronic hyperglycemia, a DDR is initiated, leading to the pathological activation of DNA‐PKcs in the diabetic heart. This activated DNA‐PKcs directly interacts with and phosphorylates YAP1 at Thr226, thereby increasing the nuclear expression of YAP1.

Context-Aware Change Detection With Semi-Supervised Learning [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Change detection using earth observation data plays a vital role in quantifying the impact of disasters in affected areas. While data sources like Sentinel-2 provide rich optical information, they are often hindered by cloud cover, limiting their usage in disaster scenarios.

Engineered Tissue Models to Decode Host–Microbiota Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Host–Microbiota interactions in the human body. Created in BioRender. Ghezzi, C. (2025) https://BioRender.com/ihivskg. Abstract A mutualistic co‐evolution exists between the host and its associated microbiota in the human body. Bacteria establish ecological niches in various tissues of the body, locally influencing their physiology and functions, but ...

BigEarthNet Dataset with A New Class-Nomenclature for Remote Sensing Image Understanding [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
This paper presents BigEarthNet that is a large-scale Sentinel-2 multispectral image dataset with a new class nomenclature to advance deep learning (DL) studies in remote sensing (RS). BigEarthNet is made up of 590,326 image patches annotated with multi-labels provided by the CORINE Land Cover (CLC) map of 2018 based on its most thematic detailed Level-
