Crop Identification Based on Multi-Temporal Active and Passive Remote Sensing Images

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2022
Although vegetation index time series from optical images are widely used for crop mapping, it remains difficult to obtain sufficient time-series data because of satellite revisit time and weather in some areas.

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Temporal variability in remote sensing accuracy for wetland mapping: a case study from Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 in Northeast China

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Earth
Wetlands are vital ecosystems that support regional ecological balance and require efficient, accurate, and cost-effective monitoring approaches. This study enhances wetland mapping in the Sanjiang Plain using multi-source (Sentinel-1 SAR and Sentinel-2 ...

Interpretable Scenicness from Sentinel-2 Imagery

open access: yesIGARSS 2020 - 2020 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2020
Landscape aesthetics, or scenicness, has been identified as an important ecosystem service that contribute to human health and well-being. Currently there are no methods to inventorize landscape scenicness on a large scale. In this paper we study how to upscale local assessments of scenicness provided by human observers, and we do so by using satellite

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Discrimination of tropical forest types, dominant species, and mapping of functional guilds by hyperspectral and simulated multispectral Sentinel-2 data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
To answer new scientific and ecological questions and monitor multiple forest changes, a fine scale characterization of these ecosystems is needed, and could imply the mapping of specific species, of detailed forest types, and of functional composition ...
