Microbial Community Shifts and Plant Performance Improvements Driven by Bacillus firmus in Pampa Agroecosystems

open access: yesEnvironmental Microbiology Reports, Volume 18, Issue 3, June 2026.
The study shows that Bacillus firmus‐based bionematicides modulate soil microbiota and enhance soybean growth in the Pampa biome. Effects vary by location and time, with increased beneficial bacteria, reduced fungi, and decreased root nematode infestation. Overall, B.

Spatial-Characteristics Driven Transmission Map Estimation for the Haze Removal in Sentinel-2 Spectral Bands Using the S2 China Hazy-MSI Dataset

open access: yesIEEE Access
The Sentinel-2 satellite-based Multi-Spectral Imagery (MSI) is crucial for Earth observations owing to its high spectral and spatial resolution. However, the bands of this satellite MSI may be affected by the haze at various times due to changes in ...

A Retrospective Cross‐Sectional Study (2009–2023): Exploring Influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 Antibody Time Series in Humans and Swine and Vaccine Coverage in Two Target Groups

open access: yesZoonoses and Public Health, Volume 73, Issue 4, Page 336-347, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Swine may act as ‘epidemiological bridges’ and reservoirs for the emergence of novel zoonotic influenza viruses with pandemic potential. While bidirectional exchange of influenza A viruses at the swine–human interface is well recognised, data on the extent of interspecies transmission are limited.

A Novel Nomogram Incorporating the Aggregate Index of Systemic Inflammation, Clinicopathological Parameters and Molecular Classification to Predict Recurrence of Endometrial Cancer: A Multi‐Center Retrospective Study

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT This study evaluated the aggregate index of systemic inflammation (AISI) for predicting postoperative recurrence in endometrial cancer (EC). A total of 1557 patients were enrolled and divided into training (n = 1030) and validation (n = 527) cohorts. The optimal AISI cutoff was determined by ROC curve analysis.

Persistent Evapotranspiration in a Shallow Boreal Shield Peatland Despite Summer Drought: Implications for Ecohydrological Resilience

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 5, May 2026.
We examine energy balance and evapotranspiration dynamics in a shallow peatland as an analogue for projected climate change impacts in deeper peatlands. Across nine growing seasons, we document similar total evapotranspiration between dry and wet years, leading to net moisture deficit in some dry years.

Field‐scale soil moisture estimation in complex alpine terrain using cosmic‐ray neutron sensors: Biomass correction, vertical extension, and multi‐scale heterogeneity

open access: yesVadose Zone Journal, Volume 25, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
Abstract Accurate field‐scale soil moisture (SM) monitoring in heterogeneous alpine regions is essential for hydrological modeling and satellite validation yet remains challenging due to scale disparities between point sensors and remote sensing. The cosmic‐ray neutron sensor (CRNS) offers a promising mesoscale solution, but its performance in complex ...
