Utilizing Satellite Imagery to Map Lake Surface Temperature and Explore its Effect on Evaporation Rate [PDF]

open access: yesAswan University Journal of Environmental Studies
This study aims to map the Lake Surface Water Temperature (LSWT) for the northern part of Aswan High Dam Lake (AHDL) within the years 2018, 2019, and 2020; and detect the effect of the estimated LSWT on the evaporation rate.

The Sentinel-3 OLCI Terrestrial Chlorophyll Index (OTCI): Algorithm Improvements, Spatiotemporal Consistency and Continuity with the MERIS Archive

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
The Ocean and Land Colour Instrument (OLCI) on-board Sentinel-3 (2016–present) was designed with similar mechanical and optical characteristics to the Envisat Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS) (2002–2012) to ensure continuity with a number ...

Single‐Cell Reveal GALNT7‐Dependent Ferroptosis Suppression as a Mechanism of Immunotherapy Resistance in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrated clinical and mechanistic analyses identify GALNT7 as a ferroptosis‐suppressive regulator associated with immunotherapy resistance in non‐small cell lung cancer. GALNT7 depletion promotes lipid peroxidation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and ferroptosis, enhances CD8+ T‐cell activation and IFN‐γ production, and sensitizes tumors to PD‐1 blockade,

Assessing the Effect of Tandem Phase Sentinel-3 OLCI Sensor Uncertainty on the Estimation of Potential Ocean Chlorophyll-a Trends

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
The Sentinel-3 tandem project represents the first time that two ocean colour satellites have been flown in the same orbit with minimal temporal separation (~30 s), thus allowing them to have virtually identical views of the ocean.

Inhibition of KDEL Receptors Remodels the Tumor Microenvironment for T Cell Independent Tumor Regression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inhibition of KDELR2 in a small fraction of tumor cells generates sustainable immunogenic cell death conditions within the tumor microenvironment. These conditions promote the regression of tumors in a T cell independent manner. During regression, macrophages prime T cells that subsequently provide systemic protection against recurrence. The potency of

Biomimetic Hydrogel System Targeting S100A8 Centered Neuroimmune Crosstalk and Hypoxia Induced Neuronal Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic hydrogel (HPC@Gel) was developed for traumatic brain injury repair by combining oxygen‐carrying hemoglobin nanoparticles and anti‐inflammatory carbon quantum dots within a brain‐like matrix. The system alleviated hypoxia, reduced harmful neuroimmune signaling, protected neurons, supported neural regeneration, and improved neurological and ...

Sentinel-3 Microwave Radiometers: Instrument Description, Calibration and Geophysical Products Performances

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
Copernicus Sentinel-3 Surface Topography Mission embarks a two-channel microwave radiometer combined with the altimeter in order to correct the altimeter range for the excess path delay resulting from the presence of water vapour in the troposphere.

Functional Suppression of SCAP Triggers Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress‐Dependent Ferroptosis by Impairing Cholesterol Metabolism in Gastric Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals a novel GC therapy targeting cholesterol homeostasis. Inhibiting the SCAP sterol‐sensing domain causes lethal ER stress via cholesterol accumulation, paradoxically forcing continuous synthesis that triggers ferroptosis. The findings link sterol sensing, metabolic dysregulation, and ferroptosis, establishing an anti‐cancer paradigm ...

Long‐term prognosis is associated with residual disease after neoadjuvant systemic therapy but not with initial nodal status

open access: yesBJS (British Journal of Surgery), EarlyView., 2020
This long‐term follow‐up study determined survival rates in a Swedish national cohort of 417 patients with breast cancer who all had neoadjuvant systemic therapy (NAST). Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) was performed before NAST in clinically node‐negative and after NAST in clinically node‐positive patients.
