Nonclassifiability of UHF $L^p$-operator algebras

open access: yes, 2015
We prove that simple, separable, monotracial UHF $L^{p}$-operator algebras are not classifiable up to (complete) isomorphism using countable structures, such as K-theoretic data, as invariants.

Exponential Stability of Higher Order Fractional Neutral Stochastic Differential Equation Via Integral Contractors

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 48, Issue 6, Page 6425-6446, April 2025.
ABSTRACT The well‐posedness results for mild solutions to the fractional neutral stochastic differential system with Rosenblatt process with Hurst index Ĥ∈12,1$$ \hat{H}\in \left(\frac{1}{2},1\right) $$ is discussed in this article. To demonstrate the results, the concept of bounded integral contractors is combined with the stochastic result and ...

On central commutator Galois extensions of rings

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2000
Let B be a ring with 1, G a finite automorphism group of B of order n for some integer n, BG the set of elements in B fixed under each element in G, and Δ=VB(BG) the commutator subring of BG in B.

On Orders In Separable Algebras [PDF]

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Mathematics, 1955
Introduction. The present note began from the observation that the arguments produced by J-M. Maranda in developing his very interesting theory of representations of groups by automorphisms of modules over Dedekind rings (4, 5) were applicable without essential change to arbitrary orders, instead of just group rings, provided that a suitable ...

Nuclear dimension and Z-stability of pure C*-algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this article I study a number of topological and algebraic dimension type properties of simple C*-algebras and their interplay. In particular, a simple C*-algebra is defined to be (tracially) (m,\bar{m})-pure, if it has (strong tracial) m-comparison ...

On discretization of C*-algebras

open access: yes, 2016
The C*-algebra of bounded operators on the separable infinite-dimensional Hilbert space cannot be mapped to a W*-algebra in such a way that each unital commutative C*-subalgebra C(X) factors normally through $\ell^\infty(X)$.

From Stability to Chaos: A Complete Classification of the Damped Klein‐Gordon Dynamics

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We investigate the transition between stability and chaos in the damped Klein‐Gordon equation, a fundamental model for wave propagation and energy dissipation. Using semigroup methods and spectral criteria, we derive explicit thresholds that determine when the system exhibits asymptotic stability and when it displays strong chaotic dynamics ...

The algebraic size of the family of injective operators

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2017
In this paper, a criterion for the existence of large linear algebras consisting, except for zero, of one-to-one operators on an infinite dimensional Banach space is provided. As a consequence, it is shown that every separable infinite dimensional Banach

An Algebraic Duality Theory for Multiplicative Unitaries

open access: yes, 2001
Multiplicative Unitaries are described in terms of a pair of commuting shifts of relative depth two. They can be generated from ambidextrous Hilbert spaces in a tensor C*-category.

Impact of Packaging and Recycling Systems on Material Recirculation: A Stage‐Decomposition Model

open access: yesPackaging Technology and Science, EarlyView.
A system‐level view emerges from decomposing recycling into four stages (participation, collection, sorting and process yield), diagnosing constraints and targeting interventions. Cumulative equivalent uses (CEUs) quantify long‐term retention, revealing marginal improvements at high baselines generate disproportionately larger gains than low‐baseline ...
