Fractionation of organic matter in natural waters on Sephadex columns.

Environmental Science and Technology, 1967
Sephadex columns have been used to fractionate organic matter in natural water into apparent molecular weight groups. Moderately colored creek water was fractionated into 10 fractions.

THIN-LAYER SEPHADEX CHROMATOGRAPHY AND IMMUNODIFFUSION

The Lancet, 1967
Abstract With a few simple modifications of thin- layer chromatography on Sephadex G-200 'Superfine' gels, molecular size, amount, enzymic and/or immunological activity can be determined on 1 μl. samples containing 1 to 10 μg. single or mixed macromolecules.

Binding of calcium by cellulose membranes and Sephadex

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1973
Abstract Calcium ions bind to polyglucose matrices (dialysis membranes and Sephadex) with low affinity, but in amounts sufficient to markedly influence the rate of dialysis of Ca ++ . In applications where such interaction is critical (binding studies by flow dialysis or ultrafiltration), Ca ++ binding can be largely prevented by acetylation of the ...

The interaction of phenols with sephadex gels

Journal of Chromatography A, 1969
Abstract The adsorption by Sephadex dextran gels of a series of monosubstituted phenols can he correlated by the Hammett equation both in acid and alkaline solutions. This suggests that the interaction of a phenol with the gel operates through the hydroxyl group. Halogen-substituted phenols, however.

Fractionation of the liver extract on sephadex G25

Experientia, 1962
