The Cutaneous Branch of the Obturator Nerve: Common Finding or a Rarity Worthy of Note
ABSTRACT According to textbook descriptions, branches of the femoral and obturator nerves provide the sensory innervation to the medial side of the thigh. However, as the exact prevalence of the obturator nerve's cutaneous branch is unknown, an anatomic study was conducted to reveal its role in providing cutaneous innervation to the medial thigh ...

ABSTRACT Background Predicting the need for permanent pacemaker implantation (PPM) after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is crucial for procedural planning and patient counseling. Aims To evaluate whether left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) morphology, specifically a tapered configuration, predicts conduction disturbances requiring PPM

ABSTRACT Background Trans‐catheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) in patients with large annuli poses procedural difficulties and possible complications. Aims We sought to compare the peri‐procedural and long‐term outcomes of patients with large annuli undergoing TAVR with self‐expanding (SEV) versus balloon‐expandable (BEV) valves.

Nuances of Septal Deviation Repair
Facial Plastic Surgery, 2022AbstractSeptoplasty is one of the most common procedures performed by facial plastic surgeons. Surgical decision-making surrounding septal deviation repair centers around the location of deviation and need for dorsal and/or caudal septal correction. Endonasal approaches are often adequate and external approaches are utilized for significant L-strut ...

Effects of simulated septal deviations on nasal airflow resistance were measured in two healthy young adults by computer-assisted rhinomanometry. Within the decongested bony cavum, simulated deviations, 30 x 5 x 5 mm perpendicular to the maxillary crest, elevated resistance only slightly, but severely when the mucosa was not decongested.

The nasal septum is a structure poorly understood and appreciated by the lay public and the nonotolaryngologist--head and neck surgeon alike. Deviation of the caudal portion of the nasal septum may result in nasal obstruction, a crooked nose, and columellar irregularities. The correction of a severely deviated caudal septum is one of the most difficult
