Clustering Molecular Sequences with Their Components.

open access: yesGenome informatics. Workshop on Genome Informatics, 1997
Motivation: Several methods in genetic information have recently been developed to estimate classification of protein sequences through their sequence similarity. These methods are essential for understanding the function of predicted open reading frames (ORFs) and their molecular evolutionary processes. However, since many protein sequences consist of

Three-Phase Harmonic and Sequence Components Measurement Method Based on mSDFT and Variable Sampling Period Technique

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2016
This paper presents a three-phase harmonic and sequence components measurement method based on modulated sliding discrete Fourier transform (mSDFT) and a variable sampling period technique. The proposal allows measuring the harmonic components of a three-

Exploring the sequential accumulation of metabolic syndrome components in adults

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
The metabolic syndrome (MetS) is diagnosed upon the manifestation of ≥ 3 out of 5 specific components, regardless of their combination. The sequence through which these components accumulate may serve to identify underlying pathophysiological mechanisms ...

Principal components analysis of protein sequence clusters [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Structural and Functional Genomics, 2014
Sequence analysis of large protein families can produce sub-clusters even within the same family. In some cases, it is of interest to know precisely which amino acid position variations are most responsible for driving separation into sub-clusters. In large protein families composed of large proteins, it can be quite challenging to assign the relative ...

SEQUENCE OF BINOMIAL COMPONENTS IN ITALIAN AND CROATIAN LANGUAGE [PDF]

open access: yesHum, 2018
Unlike other idiomatic classes binomials are composed of two equally valuable elements mostly connected with the conjunction and. In the most European languages, as well as in Italian and Croatian, besides strong idiomaticity, they are mostly marked by ...

Active Control Method for Torsional Vibration of DFIG Drive Chain Under Asymmetric Power Grid Fault

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
When the asymmetric fault occurs in power grid, it will cause the oscillation of the electromagnetic torque of the doubly-fed induction generator(DFIG).

Analysis on Circulating Current and Split Capacitor Voltage Balance for Modular Multilevel Converter Based Three-phase Four-wire Split Capacitor DSTATCOM

open access: yesJournal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy, 2021
We propose a modular multilevel converter (MMC) based three-phase four-wire (3P4W) split capacitor distribution static synchronous compensator (DSTATCOM), aiming at compensating unbalanced and reactive load currents.

Component-by-component construction of shifted Halton sequences

open access: yes, 2015
We study quasi-Monte Carlo integration in a weighted anchored Sobolev space. As the underlying integration nodes we consider Halton sequences in prime bases $\boldsymbol{p}=(p_1,\ldots,p_s)$ which are shifted with a $\boldsymbol{p}$-adic shift based on $\boldsymbol{p}$-adic arithmetic. The error is studied in the worst-case setting.

Installation locations of surge arresters on double-circuit transmission lines

open access: yesZhejiang dianli
The connected series-compensated capacitors alter the sequence network impedance of transmission lines and the distribution of sequence currents during faults.
