Climate-Based Estimation of Multi-Cropping Rice Transplanting Dates Using a Geographical Random Convolutional Kernel Transform

open access: yesAgriculture
Accurate, scalable estimation of rice planting dates is essential for climate-adaptive management in multi-cropping regions, yet most models rely on static calendars, which fail to capture climate-driven shifts and bias simulated yield responses.

Pattern diversities in cropping systems in tribal regions: a case study of Jhabua tribal district in Madhya Pradesh, India [PDF]

open access: yes
Agricultural development has been analysed by studying the cropping pattern and cropping diversification and crop specialization in any agro-ecosystem in regional and temporal framework.

Impacts of climate change on cropping patterns in a tropical, sub-humid watershed [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In recent decades, there have been substantial increases in crop production in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) as a result of higher yields, increased cropping intensity, expansion of irrigated cropping systems, and rainfed cropland expansion. Yet, to date much

GM‐CSF Promotes Neutrophil PD‐L1 Expression Through the VEGFR‐2/STAT6/CSF2 Signaling Axis in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
VEGFR‐2 signaling in OSCC activates Src–STAT6‐dependent CSF2 transcription, driving tumor‐derived GM‐CSF secretion. GM‐CSF programs neutrophils to express PD‐L1 through STAT5–mTOR/S6K signaling, suppressing cytotoxic CD8+ T cells. This pathway reveals a tumor–neutrophil immune checkpoint circuit that limits anti‐PD‐1 responsiveness in OSCC.

Forage Yield of Megathyrsus maximus Cultivars Managed with Two Fertilization Rates in a Sequential Cropping System

open access: yesGrasses
In the oilseed–cereal–forage system, information on the performance of grasses of the genus Megathyrsus maximus and on the optimal fertilization levels for forage production is still scarce.

Maternal Exercise Rescues Embryonic Osteogenesis Impaired due to POLG Mutation Through a Potential Apelin‐ATF4 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Maternal exercise (ME) increases apelin abundance across maternal and fetal tissues and is associated with improved fetal osteogenesis under POLG mutation‐induced mitochondrial dysfunction. Apelin‐APJ signaling is linked to enhanced mitochondrial function, Akt phosphorylation, and ATF4‐RUNX2 association, supporting coordinated fetal bone remodeling ...

Effects of Post-Wheat Sequential Green Manure Cropping on Soil Water Balance and Potato Productivity in a Loess Plateau Rotation System

open access: yesAgriculture
The Loess Plateau is a typical dryland agricultural region where water scarcity constrains crop production. Plastic film mulching is widely used to mitigate this limitation, but its long-term application has caused soil degradation and environmental ...

TED1 Promotes the Assembly of SCFD3‐D14‐D53 to Reinforce Strigolactone Signaling in Rice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies TED1 as a positive regulator of strigolactones (SL) signaling in rice. The ted1 mutants display dwarfism and increased tillering with significantly reduced SLs sensitivity. Through its longer C‐terminal region, TED1 interacts with D53 and D14 to promote the assembly of SCFD3‐D14‐D53, thereby facilitating the efficient ...

Neuromorphic Optical Tracking and Imaging of Randomly Moving Targets Through Dynamic Dense Scattering Media

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Vision begins not with images but with change: the retina fires only when something moves, handing the brain a stream of spikes. A neuromorphic imaging system adopts the same strategy—an event sensor that sees like the retina, a spiking network that thinks like the brain—to track and reconstruct fully randomly moving targets through tissue (phantom ...

The Availability of Legacy Phosphorus for Rice Growth in Phosphorus-Rich Paddy Soils: A Two-Season Case Study

open access: yesAgronomy
Understanding the short-term availability of legacy phosphorus (P) in soils is important for improving fertilizer management and reducing unnecessary P inputs.
